Can the Steelers score 20+ points?
Yeah, I agree though, this one will not be close. Not at all. -
bigdaddy2003I can't see them winning by 20+ because their offense isn't that good. I realize Carolina isn't very good but I think it will be closer than people think.

20-0. -
bigdaddy2003Ha I don't think so but I guess that is why they play the games.
-
justincredibleif they can score 17 on the jets they can score 20+ on the panthers.
-
bigdaddy2003I agree they will win. I just don't think it will be a blow out.

if the Panthers bring their refs and hold the receivers every play like the Jets it might be closer -
queencitybuckeyeCan you pinpoint the day you turned into a bitch?
-
Nonfrankly I don't care if I'm complaining or bitching
Steelers are competing for championships and if they get screwed you'll hear it from me -
AutomatikNon you're beginning to form your own fan club. Are you flattered?
-
Nonwhat's right is right
what can I say
half the game Revis and Cromartie are holding receivers by the jersey
that's a shame to make rules and then let the refs do whatever the hell they want
why pretend like it's ok because time has passed, it's still garbage officiating one day later, two days later and so on -
AutomatikBitching on a forum helps nothing. I was pissed yesterday but its done and over with now. Time to focus on taking care of business the next two weeks.
Cleveland will get theirs in the final week of the season. Me and you both know that. -
Nonbut getting back to this upcoming game
if you would've said at the beginning of the season the Steelers could be the No. 2 seed in the AFC, I would've certainly taken that
now maybe all they have to do is beat the worst team in the NFL to achieve that
or they might have to beat Cleveland, a 5-9 team
still a pretty good situation -
AutomatikI'm with you. With Ben out, I was aiming for 10-6 AT BEST, so I'm happy with how this season has panned out.
-
NonI have complained on other sites, though, not just this one. Post Gazette, Steelers web site, etc.
Tomlin has not bashed the officials publicly but I'm sure they're communicating with the NFL in private.
It hasn't been working very well, though.
If they keep riding the officials maybe they'll get some calls down the road. It can't be much worse so there is nothing to lose. -
se-alumNo way the NFL lets Pittsburgh win this one. I'm taking Carolina on a last second interception return for a Touchdown. The play unfolds like this. Ben drops back, Wallace, Ward, and Mendenhall are all being held, the Carolina d-linemen simultaneously club the Steelers offensive line in the side of their heads. Ben buys time, and goes deep to Wallace who has somehow freed himself from a Chris Gamble death clutch. Ben is speared in the head while being roundhouse kicked in the knee. The ball flutters, the Carolina safety gets over and tackles Wallace long before the ball gets there, interception Gamble. On the return, the Panthers are holding every Steeler, and Gamble goes for a touchdown. NO FLAGS!!! Panthers win!!! The NFL brass laughs heartily at their power!!!

Rock claims that he has complained publicly about officiating. I haven't heard him say anything negative about it publicly. -

He has basically given the reporters a very short answer any time they bring it up.
"I don't talk to you guys about the officiating"
It's been assumed that the discussions have gone on between the Steelers and the NFL.
That's probably the best way to handle it but if they're continuing to see these inconsistencies and they're continuing to get the short end, I wonder if maybe he should be more confrontational during the games. That's more baseball than football but still if the players have to play through it, which they should, the coach sort of has to be the defender. It doesn't mean he has to go Mike Stoops but just make sure the refs know that you know. If you're making a big deal about the receivers getting held, the refs are naturally going to be even more focused on that. -

Did you bitch when the Steelers were handed the win against the Dolphins? -

Yeah, from everything I've heard Tomlin responds with,"Any discussions I have with the league are between me and them."
I think that's the right way to go about it. -

at that time I figured it would even out
but since the Steelers have gotten shafted five weeks in a row, it's time to complain a lot -
wildcats20Damn..
You would think that a fan of a team that is sooooooooo good would know more about sports than this.
The officials are NOT out to get the Steelers. Get over it. They lost. -
