Well, don't be so ignorant until you learn about all the events that led to the move. -

I don't think I was being ignorant chief. I'm just not a home town team fan and I never knew exactly why he left. -
NonUh oh bad blood
Browns need to show them who the real Browns are -

Just like with officiating, things even out. Indy screwed over baltimore and baltimore screwed over cleveland. Eventually cleveland will screw over indy. -
Ironman92GO BROWNS!!!!
....but also McCoy needs sacked 10X and Hillis needs about 54 carries and 10 receptions deep into OT -
NonMcCoy showed me at the end of the Cincinnati game that he's going to compete until the end this season and try to be a leader. The defense couldn't get the ball back.
Browns need a receiver or tight end to help him out this week and make some big catches if they're going to hang around. -
WriterbuckeyeIf you're going to root for a team whose mascot lives off the rotting bodies of the dead, you should know that the guy who took the team to Baltimore was such a bad businessman -- he had to be bailed out financially twice.
Once in the original bribery to get the team to Baltimore, and then again when he fucked up the finances so bad he had to sell all but a very small percentage of it so it wouldn't end up in bankruptcy. Modell hated doing that; he had wanted to leave the team to his drug-addled son.
Now, he's wasting away in a wheelchair and pretty much blind, by all accounts. As Browns fans, we patiently wait the day he dies so we can hold a party to remember what a lying scumbag he was, and celebrate the fact that the Earth is much better off without him.
My hope is that, someday, I can visit his gravesite in (I assume) Maryland. I'll make sure to eat lots of asparagus that day, right before I piss on his gravestone. -

I'm guessing it's b/c once he was banned to the basement, he had his avatar changed to Peyton Hillis. Now he's sitting in a corner at home in the fetal positition, helpless, not knowing how to express his dislike for Cleveland. -

I think this applies here as well.
-
bigdaddy2003I think I may still buy tickets and head up to the game.
-
NonThey'll be giving them away.
-
Ironman92I'm sure every fan is knowledgable of their owner.....no way can you be a loyal fan and not know all branches of the owner's tree.
-
bigdaddy2003I know a decent amount about the current owner. Never knew much about Modell because I was young and wasn't that interested in pro football.
-
Ironman92It's critical to fanhood.
You are this close to being fanhood basement material. -

I was thinking about heading to the game as well, but my schedule isn't going to work out. -

So you are saying because I don't know a lot about Modell I'm not a credible Ravens fan? -
Ironman92Oh...I'm typing it on here but I'm sarcastic as hell and in a way defending you. God forbid you not being 20 years old when Modell moved them.
Aren't too many Indy Colts fans really worried about why they left Baltimore 30ish years ago.....they just root for the Colts.
I guess for it to come full cycle the Colts will be uprooted and moved to Cleveland and maybe the current Browns team could combine with them or maybe just join the Big Ten Legends. -
bigdaddy2003I admit I need to read up on the whole situation but for the Browns fans to call me ignorant is stupid. I could care less about the whole situation. I get why Brown's fans would be mad at the guy but he isn't even the owner anymore so it doesn't mean anything to me. I know a decent amount about the current owner and I know a lot about the team. That is what matters to me.
-
Nonif the Browns take the Colts that will probably mean they'll start sucking
so I'm all for it
two teams in that crummy city, though? -

Don't be too offended, ignorance of the whole story is in fact ignorant. Not ignorant being a jerk, ignorant I just don't know. No big deal.
