  I could see some people not liking it in their opinion, but how could you call it overrated? It was directed extremely well and the acting was top notch.

  He would be great, no doubt. But my #1 choice is Michael Emerson (Ben Linus, from LOST). If you watch LOST, you know his acting would be absolutely PERFECT for this role.

  I've read several sites that say Johnny Depp is 100% confirmed the play The Riddler and the other leading candidates are Eddie Murphy as Black Mask and Glenn Jacobs as Bane
  
  
  Also read that Brittney Murphy was going to sign on to play Harley Quinn,but since she passed away,Nolan will most likely will not cast the part

  Malcovich would be a GREAT villain in this series. Dark personalities that get the audience to cheer for the bad guy.
  
  He has it, Depp has it, Ledger had it, Kevin Spacey has it, and a select few others.
  
  I dont think some of the others mentioned have it, and thus would make a bad villain. Seymour-Hoffman has it, but if the Penguin isnt going to be cast I dont see much of a role for him.
