"Dark Knight" sequel confirmed

ZeroCooltdk was awesome and yes ledger did make the movie great. creepy thin man as scarecrow is very interesting.
-
BuckeyeBlueI'm very excited for a sequel. I would be pretty excited to see Depp play the Riddler. I think he can do similar things in that role as what Ledger did as the Joker. He is a tremendous actor, and can pull off the dark roles very well. I would love to see them find a way for Mickey Rourke and/or Phillip Seymour Hoffman to play villains too. I think both would be very very good choices.
-
Fab4RunnerI would hate them changing the Scarecrow role. I'm really excited for this movie to be made but honestly I'm hating a lot of the rumors I am reading so far. :/
-
slingshot4everAny rumors on when they expect this movie to be released yet?
-
BlitzkriegAll of these rumors have existed since before TDK was even in the theaters. They've all been generated by fan boards and speculation and have no basis in fact.
-
Little DannyI like Depp as the Riddler and do believe he could pull it off. Someone else mention they would like to see Glen Jacobs as Bane. I think a better person to play the role would be Dave Batista. He more physically resembles the character.

jordo212000ehh Bane just reminds me of the crappy Joel Shumacher (sp?) Batmans from the 90s

No it's not. I truly understand how people decide to view movies after working with movies for 3 1/2 years. The Dark Knight drew in many more females than the first one and more of an older crowd because of the hype around Ledger's performance. It was a good movie but the publicity around Ledger's death gave the movie added hype. Really not all that ignorant at all.Scarlet_Buckeye wrote:
That's just ignorant.KnightXC1 wrote: While I liked The Dark Knight, it wasn't the greatest movie ever like some people think it is. It probably would not have made nearly as much had Ledger not died. It was still good but it wasn't amazing (Outside of Ledger).

Mickey Rourke is the villian in Iron Man 2, I thought.BuckeyeBlue wrote: I'm very excited for a sequel. I would be pretty excited to see Depp play the Riddler. He is. Still would like to see him in a Batman movie while Nolan is the director.j_crazy wrote:

Mr Pat
Joker was much closer to evil than he was dark. He's the only Batman villian that the other villians were scared of. The Batman bad guys all got together in a series to kill Batman but wouldn't let the Joker join because they were terrified of him. He killed many, many people just because it would amuse him at the time. The Joker is probably the most evil of all the Batman villians.KnightXC1 wrote: ^^ Joker was never that much of an evil character but a dark one. -

Yeah I'd agree. I've been saying he was the most evil all along. And the scariest too. He didn't have any moral compass of any kind, and wasn't motivated by money. He did what he did because he liked the chaos.Mr Pat wrote:

Only problem with that is that Dave has NO acting experience....Jacobs has already starred in a movie...which is why he is being consideredLittle Danny wrote: I like Depp as the Riddler and do believe he could pull it off. My bad, meant to say what you did. Had the Riddler on my mind when I put that up.Mr Pat wrote:

QuintI wouldn't mind seeing John Malkovich or Edward Norton in the role of Mr. Zsasz, the serial killer that kills his victims then puts a tally mark on himself. It has been rumored that Christopher Nolan has already hinted that he will be a future villain.

I didn't know much about that guy until I played Arkham Asylum and I think he'd fit in perfectly with Christopher Nolan's Batman. Scary dude.Quint wrote: I wouldn't mind seeing John Malkovich or Edward Norton in the role of Mr. Zsasz, the serial killer that kills his victims then puts a tally mark on himself. Is that picture from The Dark Knight? -
QuintI'm not sure why the picture isn't working. That is from Batman Begins. The actor is Tim Booth, and he is actually credited as playing Victor Zsasz
