I think some of it's good driving music, as long as not too hard or fast. Foreign Beggars post #23 is too fast but Pumped up Kicks post #9 I like.
Not blasting at 11 but just on in the back ground.

It pretty much proves my hypothesis that any dbag can get a best buy credit card, buy a Mac Book they can't afford, give themselves a gay name and say they're a DJ.
It's actually not as easy as you think to produce music like this. What program is he using? Ableton, Garage Band, Traktor?

Headhunterz is the best Hardstyle artist out there right now. Defqon 1>EDC
Yes I love Headhunterz, especially his Hard With Style episodes. Second I think would be Noisecontrollers; they really seem to be coming on strong over the past year.

Exactly. I'm not hating on the people who make an honest living being Djs, but so many people can just say its something they do. I wasn't attacking those who actually are good at what they do. I've never tried it, but I'm sure it's pretty difficult.

I'm not saying its easy, I'm saying it's easy to throw some shit together and call yourself a DJ. I'm not sure what program he's using man. I've listened to a few of his "tracks".. Feels like I'm in a German rave or something.

Yeah, that applies to a lot of things. The MMA reference is dead on. My friends go a gym and roll around on mats for a few hours each week, doesn't mean they are "fighters." I've probably forgotten more about DJing than your friend actually knows and I still don't go around calling myself one.

Tracks are produced, a mix is a collection of tracks.

Skrillex posted this on twitter a day ago. Brand new song, though there isn't a good quality release of it yet. I like it, but I'm not hard to please when it comes to Skrillex lol.

Could barely make it through the vid.

Not dubstep, but thought I'd share..
If anyone into podcasts I highly recommend the Eric Prydz' EPIC radio. Free on itunes and monthly, and he's only put out 2 so far. They're both badass. He plays a lot of his unreleased stuff.

Was listening to Alex Clare "Too Close" and the chorus has a dubstep feel with how the bass drops in. Solid song.

Dubstep. Sigh. Love hate relationship. The first time you hear it, you're actually like, wow... this is pretty cool. But then after you hear two (sometimes even one) song, and the next one sounds exactly like the same thing, you immediately begin to realize how stupid dubstep really is.

I did just catch Tron: Legacy for the first time this weekend, and I do have to admit, Daft Punk easily stole the show. While the actual movie really wasn't that bad [to be honest], Daft Punk's rips in it were pretty perfect.

I can take Skrillex, but after one or two songs, I want to rip my ears off. As a side note, Skrillex looks like a deformed monkey.

That's the reason why I love that movie, the soundtrack is incredible.

Haha I recently finished up at OU and do like some dubstep. I am more of a fan of other styles of EDM. Been listening to Nicky Romero a lot lately. Don't really know how I didn't stumble upon him earlier.
  • Automatik
Nickey Romero is definitely on the rise along w/ a lot of other young Dutch producers. Sweden and Holland.....pumping out the EDM tunes daily.
