I lol'd. So true.dlazz;1191761 wrote:Merging off of 315 to 270 and vice-versa is a fucking joke in Columbus. It kills me how poorly people take that exchange.
The worst is people peddling along going 65 in the middle lane of a 3 lane highway. What the fuck are you doing. -
Big_Mirg_ZHS23/270 on the northside, people who dont adhere to the zipper action. the let one on one off one on one off, looks like a zipper. And the mofos who ride in my blindspot of my rape van. It has no windows on the sides so its hard to see you there. Pass me or stay behind me. DO not ride equal with my rt rear quarter panel.

Yep, same exchange I'm talking about. Everyone handles that like morons. I've come to a complete stop there several times.Big_Mirg_ZHS;1191773 wrote:23/270 on the northside -

The slower than speed limit gets on my nerves too. Few years ago roads were a little snowy. Schools werent even delayed. Just enough snow in the middle of the road and enough traffic to not pass. Was behind a lady doing 40 the whole 10 mile drive.
Get into the edge of town where the school zone is. She didnt slow down and kept on at 40 in the school zone.
and got picked up for speeding.
I got a good laugh outta it -
Ironman92justincredible;1191628 wrote:Just experienced probably the worst one this morning. Lady in front of me is going ridiculously slow. Like 10mph under slow. She crawls up the the traffic light to turn left and hits it as it goes yellow and gets through while I'm stuck waiting for the next green light. Had she not been driving like an asshole we both get through, and probably the next two or three people behind me get through.
Also, stop flicking your cigarette butts out the window.
Stay out of the Jackson area.....70% drive that way.
For me....too many to list. I have zero patience and notice everything stupid.
Anyone ever in Pike Co on 32....you will get pulled out in front of severly and if it's on the western end....they'll cuss you because you got cut off and switched lanes (avoid wreck) to pass. -

Not all entrance ramps to freeways have yield signs. Some do others have a merge sign displayed to both existing traffic and the entrance traffic.justincredible;1191648 wrote:Yes, these ****s expect the traffic already on the highway to slow down to let them in. No, dude, you have the yield sign. -
dlazzThought of another: When people slow down for cops who have pulled someone over on the other side of the highway. They aren't going to drop what they're doing to pull someone over on the otherside of the highway.
Stop slamming on your brakes. -

I completely agree. No one has ever been permanently stranded at an intersection or any particular area for that matter. Reasonable speed and driving habits gets everyone to where they need to be.fan_from_texas;1191749 wrote:This.
The thing that annoys me most is when we're in heavy traffic, and some guy determines he's going to weave in and out to save himself 3 minutes off his commute. Seriously, dude, you're dramatically increasing your risk of an accident, slowing down traffic by taking multiple lanes and causing people to break unnecessarily, so you can save what, 3 minutes? Ridiculous and not worth it.
My biggest pet peeve is an impatient driver. I know it can get annoying, and everyone's in a hurry, but seriously, just sit tight, and it'll all be easier. -

OMFG that drives me insane. I also hate when people drive right up to the cop with his radar gun out and then slam on the brakes to 5-10 mph below the speed limit. It's too late now dumb ass.dlazz;1191794 wrote:Thought of another: When people slow down for cops who have pulled someone over on the other side of the highway. BORIStheCrusherTwo things that make me want to murder people...
Construction on the highway and two lanes merge into one so traffic is backed up, the people who don't bother to get over and just drive all the way to the front cutting ahead of everybody. Whenever this happens I just pull into the other lane and drive the speed of traffic so people can't pass.
The other is people who drive around parking lots and holding everyone up looking for the closest spot because they can't walk their fat ass an extra 50 feet. One time me and another car behind me couldn't pull out because there were cars on both sides of us holding up traffic trying to get our spots. Wanted to get out and kick their asses. -

This. Especially since this has been my every day drive home for over a year, and it is expected to go on for at least another year I believe...A very busy expressway in Toledo, and there is no better way to get home for me because there is effing construction at every turn.thavoice;1191787 wrote:When the signs say merge for construction and people wait until the last second....causes backups.
Also, pulling out in front of me and going extremely slow when I was pretty close to you to begin with and there is nobody behind me or a mile. -

Laley23Too many to list honestly.
-People who pass you, get into your lane and slow down
-People who merge onto the highway at 40 MPH
-People who dont get over when you are trying to merge onto the highway
-Going under the speed limit, anywhere, anytime pisses me off
-Not paying attention and sitting for a few seconds when the light changes to green
-People who speed up when you try to pass
-People who ride your ass, then dont pass when you get over (extra mad when they follow you into a new lane)
-Women
-Asians
-Asian women
-On a long trip when people dont use cruise. They pass you and you have cruise on and pass them 5 min. later. Then they pass you, etc.
-People who ride their brakes
-People who dont turn right on red, when they are turning right at a red light
-People who dont know their car is small enough to scoot by me when I pull up so they can turn right on red
-People who dont use their blinkers
-People who drive 95MPH past stopped traffic when a lane is closing, then try to merge (Im a dick and drive in the closed lane so no one can pass me, but stay the same speed as others. They always appreciate it and give me my spot back)
Ill be back with another list this long when I get back from driving today, Im sure. -
McFly1955
I love doing this, I practice this technique regularly.Laley23;1191973 wrote: -People who drive 95MPH past stopped traffic when a lane is closing, then try to merge (Im a dick and drive in the closed lane so no one can pass me, but stay the same speed as others. Dangerous? maybe. Satisfying? yes. -
Heretic
That's my #1. Mainly because I like to take the middle lane at 75-80. Pisses me off because you know the reason these pricks are doing 60-65 in the middle lane is because they don't want to inconvenience themselves by having to switch lanes from time to time like you'd have to do in the right lane. I'm not the greatest, most considerate driver, but at least I fucking know to move right one lane if possible if someone comes up on me going a lot faster than I am. These fucks just camp out in the middle lane and don't move no matter what.dlazz;1191761 wrote:The worst is people peddling along going 65 in the middle lane of a 3 lane highway. People pulling out onto the road in front of me is another. This magnifies times infinity if they pull out onto the road, make me slow down greatly and then IMMEDIATELY turn onto another road. Fuck you, stupid bitch. -
gutBesides people driving too slow in the left lane, forcing me to uncomfortably pass them on the right, the biggest are people who can't maintain a speed. Doesn't pretty much every car now adays have cruise control? Idiot passes me, then slows down so I have to pass them, then they pass me again....and slow down....all the while I'm driving the same speed on cruise.

The longest traffic jam ever lasted 11 days. Some people left their cars. Those who didn't had to order food to be delivered by bike or go w/o food for 11 days. FYI. -
Raw Dawgin' it
Entering traffic doesn't have the right of way, so a yield sign is moot.Con_Alma;1191795 wrote:Not all entrance ramps to freeways have yield signs. Some do others have a merge sign displayed to both existing traffic and the entrance traffic. -
that_guyMy three biggest:
1) People who need to come to almost a complete stop to make a right turn. I'm not expecting a fast, tire squeeling turn, but it doesn't require nearly stopping either.
2) People who drive around searching out the very best parking lot spot. This is even worse in parking garages when you can't pass these people. If there's any indication whatsoever that someone might be leaving their spot, they stop and wait. Unless the reverse light is on the car, just drive up to an already empty space and stop wasting everyone's time. This is only acceptable when a lot is full. I make a point to move as slowly as possible when someone's sitting and waiting for me to leave a spot.
3) People who freak out while driving in any condition other than a Flat Road with no precipitation. I have a shortcut from Downtown Portland to my house, driving the speed limit it typically saves me 15 minutes vs the Freeway. It's a curvy and hilly 2 lane road that goes through a forest. The lowest speed limit along the road is 45, yet once a week I get behind some driver doing 25 slowing down even further for every curve, and there's very few passing opportunities on the route....
Also, my fiance and I play a game when driving, whenever we witness a terrible display of driving on the freeway, we try to guess Age/Gender/Ethnicity of the driver. So far the trends have been-
Slow and Confused = Asian
Varying Speeds and Oblivious to Surroundings- Usually Middle Aged Women
Much faster than speed of traffic weaving in and out of lanes- Male below 30 -
Steel Valley FootballI really, really hate when I'm driving on the highway and my wife is yelling at me and berating me....and all the while truckers are honking at me to pull over into the truck stops because they recognize my car.
