Heck yeah Kent State

  • Tiger2003
What a way to win and lose a ballgame. Feel bad for the Oregon players but what a feeling it must be for Kent St.
  • THE4RINGZ
Tough way to lose a game if you are Oregon, but who cares? Go Flashes!!!!
  • Tiger2003
Flip over to ESPN2 to watch the Baylor vs Arkansas game. Kent St will play the winner in Omaha.

    Go Flashes!

When was the last time a team from the MAC reached Omaha?
  • sherm03
I was losing my shit with the dude behind home plate air humping during the last pitch.

Way to go Kent State! Do Ohio proud!

75 or 76 Eastern Michigan got beat by Arizona for the National Title.

So proud of Triway alum and kid I coached, Sawyer Polen, with a hit, run scored, and solid defense as KSU's starting 3B. Congrats to the whole Kent State baseball team!

And the wagon is now going to Omaha. Ignore what dlazz says, hop on board.

Entertaining game for sure. I thought the collapse was on again during the 8th.

I was just telling Brandt the final score, his reaction, "I played little league against one of those kids."

    Good times.

Kent State is the first team from Ohio to make it to the D-1 College World Series since the Ohio Bobcats finished 4th in 1970.

Did not realize it had been so long considering the baseball talent in the state.

2nd seat from left in a "I love my ducks" shirt? Dude was giving spirit fingers or whatever the cheerleaders call them, while the Oregon pitcher was delivering. Dumb. Only noticed him in the 8th but he was pretty damn annoying.

Congrats to Kent State and their fans! Great weekend of games in Oregon.

Hey youngin....I played against Coach Scott Stricklin in high school! Lol I was a sophomore at Jackson and he was a stud senior catcher for Athens.

Don't they do the bracket like they do in the softball world series and cross over the losers of the two winners bracket games? In other words game 9 would be winners of game 5 vs losers of game 8, and game 10 would be winners of game 6 vs losers of game 6.

Nice to see Cambell doing well as a West Branch alum.

That would be him. Ya, he started off doing some sort of superfan curse and was so happy when the kid from Kent swung and missed. On the next pitch, he switched tactics and went to air humping and the next swing ended the game. I was laughing my ass off.

If you are a baseball fan of any sorts, it is a great time at the CWS. I was a fan of the Johnny but the new stadium looks nice.

50 seconds of complete silence by the announcers after the Kent State runner crossed home plate. Part of it was justified, letting the emotion of the moment speak for itself. But on the other hand, it was obvious ESPNU and the announcers were rooting for and hoping Oregon would win, and thus stunned when it did not happen.

I don't think so one bit.
