I agree with the exception of Sean Penn. I just hate that guy. lol

    Morgan Freeman
    Mickey Rourke
    Liam Neeson
    Christian Bale
    George Clooney

Remember, this list is my personal opinion. Don't take it seriously.
This a guy that think many would put on their lists, and at first glance I thought absolutely. But when I thought about, he really hasn't made a good movie in a looong time. Sweeny Todd and Finding Neverland are his last two IMO. Extreme inconsistent and he needs to part ways with Tim Burton. Talk about an over rated director.

fuck musicals. sweeney todd was gay as shit.

for the record, when I was talking about Tom Hanks' range, I am talking abou tin regards to the other top acotrs (5-10). Its not like I have him as a horrible actor. He would be right around 10-15 if I took the time to make a top 25 list, I think.

Just that I dont think, imo, he has the range of a De Niro, Hoffman, Nicholson, DDL etc.

I also think, as dwccrew just pointed out, that Ed Norton is a guy, who in 20 years, may be top 5 in everyones list. To go along with the movies dwccrew listed, you also have to throw in Illusionist, The Score, and for my money the best work he has done o date, which says a lot, Primal Fear and his role as Aaron Stampler.

Already 2 Oscar noms in a short 15 year career.

He was good in Secret Window, but I thought the movie sucked.

I agree he hasnt done well in terms of making a good movie in awhile. Tim Burton needs to stop. Depp is still very talented (3 Oscar noms), but he needs to be more selective in his roles. I think dwccrew has it right. Id put Depp right around 20 I think.

If your gonna have a musical, at least its about murdering people and selling their remains as pies! (kinda like Motel Hell!)

Very solid list dwccrew, can't find much I'd disagree with.

I'd probably throw Will Smith into the mentions category...

Also, Edward Norton is the shit... But what did everybody think about his portrayal of "The Hulk?"

Movie was average at best, but do you guys feel he killed his role, or was it just bad overall?
  • Commander of Awesome
I thought the movie was pretty bad, didn't think Norton was anything special in it.

I'm not sure how someone can put Tom Hanks outside of the Top 5 all-time, let alone Top 10.

He really should have 3 Oscars as well.

I always enjoy Simmons' writing style so here's a mailbag that discusses Tom Hanks' work.

I forgot to add Will Smith. I almost put him in my top 15. Will make the edit.
