Worse fast food sandwich

  I like Subway and Chipotle, because you can make choices to keep your meal pretty healthy, and not lose the good taste of your meal. My typical Subway sub is around 306 cals for a 6". Even if I have a footlong for dinner, it's still a very low calorie count for as filling as it is. The burrito bol I get at Chipotle is only about 525 calories, and it's not that high in sodium. Sure you can strip down sandwiches at fast food joints to make them better for you, but you sacrifice alot of taste, and don't get near the portion size you get at places like Subway and Chipotle.

  Speaking of Subway......I usually get the oven roasted chicken breast and have them put on the buffalo sauce. that way it is still 5 bucks instead of paying extra for the buffalo chicken sub that has the chicken strips.
  
  I was at one in Columbus a couple of weeks ago and they didnt have that sauce to put on anymore. They still had the buffalo chicken subs ya could get though. The lady said that some health dept person, forget if she said it was from the state or someone who does that for subway, came in and made them stop putting out a few of the sauces for health reasons. They no longer were able to put out the buffalo sauce, or bar b que and I thinkn 2-3 others.
  
  Anyone heard that or were they just trying to get people to buy up those higher price subs?

  Could be true, because they stopped carrying mushrooms about a month ago.

  Seems odd they wouldn't be allowed to have the sauce, but still able to apply it to the chicken strips.

  I am kinda thinking maybe they have to keep it back in the cooler thing and not where they keep the other dressings. Maybe some of them need to by kept at a colder temps.

  Maybe. But the chicken with the sauce sits out at the counter. As does the Mayo.

  They definitely found the loophole you described and that's why some Subways don't allow it. Others do, at least the smart ones, because it brings in your business and gets them a sale.

  You are probably right. I only eat at that subway once a month when I am working there in columbus so they wont go outta business without my business. Its just my fav sub there and the one I prefer to get. Probably try and hit up the place across the road later this month when in town.
