Who's the Worst Moderator?

67? A member that joins is meaningless if they don't contribute. As far as active members, Doverbuck is the only that comes to mind that I've seen in the past year. It seems to be the same people posting over and over again, which is great. But even if you are perfect, over time your active contributing members will slowly leave and start posting as much, and you need that new blood to continue the forum.

You see where I put contributing in my post? We've had a lot more than 67 join and post nothing.

How about you just create and run your own forum?

Bottom line, the "vocal minority" are not going to make the decisions that run this site no matter how much they want to. I'm confident enough in my judgement that I can keep the site running as long as I want. It's been going strong for over 2 years when most people figured it would die in a fire within a month. If you don't like how the site is ran, that's fine, but it's not going to change unless I want it to change.

Having posted. A few have only posted once. Most have posted multiple times.

I'm sure that's not good enough for you but I really could not give a fuck less.

If the criteria for a contributing member is 1 post, you have have 9,082 members of your 12,583 that have never posted. The number look even worse if you use my definition for contributing poster.

To each his own, I suppose. Most admins are confident that they know what they are doing and don't feel the need to solicit advice from users on how to improve the forum. These forums usually fall from the top eventually, just look at JJhuddle if you don't believe me. The mods you have were largely voted on by a community that wanted to reward a bunch of hooligans who were trashing the forum in which we left. They don't know what they are doing and the ones that do, don't post/mod anymore.

And clearly you do want change, but you don't want to follow the steps to enact that change. That is a leadership problem.

I think this is a legitimate question...

You have the capital, the business saavy to run it, and the leadership to make it successful...what is holding you back?

And, yes, I am asking a serious question.

All successful organizations seek feedback from their customers/users/patrons/etc.

An example of people who went out of their way not to listen to their users' feedback. They knew better. Guess they showed us.
