I think the frauds are the ones who preach "morals", hiding behind such a "clean" term while at the same time going on with racism, bigotry, and blind following of religion.Belly35 wrote: ...being politcally correct has done nothing but create fraud.
Standards, values, honesty, morals and being truthful of our feeling is what is needed to undersatnd all relationship ....hinding behind politcial correctnes behind the PC make them a fraud, racist and bigot.
It used to mean something to have morals, now people just throw out the "well at least I have morals" argument to end the fight when losing their ass in a simple, rational discussion about any social issue. It's pretty much been degraded to a political talking point. -

You don't do a very good job at making your case. Racist and bigot, aren't we all? Um, no, we all are not. Some are and are not admitting it, but we all aren't and not all of us have made racist comments. You're not bold enough to admit it, you're ignorant enough to believe it based on your experiences with a small percentage of a group you have interacted with.Belly35 wrote: Racist and bigot aren’t we all. You’re just not bold enough to admit it. Trying to keep your politically correct status and that squeaky clean persona.
I say what I think and take from personal experiences to make my case for my opinions.
So you justify your ignorance by assuming others have done the same thing? Very good rationale there, Belly. :rolleyes:Belly35 wrote: 1. Looking past the race, nationality and gender is difficult in many situations. I’m almost sure that many of you who called me a racist have used the slang word right after MF to describe a person of a different race or nationality in a few situations in your bubble boy life. Knee jerk reaction or inter feeling? Feeling taught or expressed by family member or friends or even learned by personal experiences. It happens...
I'm not real sure what you mean by this and directing the question to Upper. Are you insinuating that since he is black and muslim, he uses slang to describe others?Belly35 wrote: 2. Never in your life used slang words to describe nationalities? Maybe that protected box you live in you’re clueless to what is the slang for some nationalities. I’m sure Upper can fill you in ….Am I correct Upper?
I think you mean sexist, not gender bigots. Again, why are you using others examples of poor behavior as a way to justify your ignorance?Belly35 wrote: 3. Let not forget the gender bigotry ……Boobs and Booty Thread “What to bang that shit”
Again, you can't justify yourself this way.Belly35 wrote:I would have to say if you are guilty of any two of the above please delete your racist and bigot comment about me because you are no different from me …Racist and bigot aren’t we all.
That's great. Celebrate it and enjoy it. This is the same time of year that other religions celebrate their respective holidays as well.Belly35 wrote:Christmas is the time of year when Christians celebrate the Birth of Christ in short a Christian Holiday.
This is all an assumption made by you. An unfounded assumption. IMO, Christmas has been hijacked by corporate America to make profits. It is not motivated by anything other than money.Belly35 wrote:The retail profiteering has diminished the Christmas to the point of tell their workers that Merry Christmas is not politically correct and the usage of other more pleasing slogan is required. Why because the other non-Christian will be offended.
I’m sorry but why should Christian compromise their belief and the traditions, songs and symbols of Christmas. Why should I have to alter traditions for being a Christian, if the other spiritual groups want to pile onto Christmas then live with the traditions of a Christian Christmas. I will not waver this is a Christian Holiday show me the manger, play those Christian Worship Song and the Merry Christmas banner. Also after the purchase of gifts to be put under the Christmas tree is made a Merry Christmas is in order clerk person.
So if those people are mocking the Jewish people by saying Happy Hanukah, as you stated, wouldn't a clerk saying Merry Christmas after you bought Christmas gifts be mocking you? Especially if they aren't even Christian? You can't have it both ways, Belly. But I wouldn't expect you to be logical enough or intelligent enough to even realize the hypocrisy in your examples.Belly35 wrote:Hanukkah ….Happy Hanukkah and a Happy Hanukkah to you.
I would venture to say that 60% of the people that replied this way have no clue and could not shed any light to what Hanukkah is, nor the important meaning behind Hanukkah. To those of you that are Jewish does that not offend you? It like they are mocking you. I do know the important of the event and respect the tradition from the 19th to the 25th. Problem is my savior is born and has come yours has not. Maybe I should show a little more respect and say Merry Hanukkah…what do you think?
I believe it is 8 days of gifts. For someone who earlier in your post states you understand Hannukah, you don't seem to know much about it. Hannukah is 8 nights. Secondly, I am sure they do much charitable work as I have many jewish friends that often do this.Belly35 wrote:Hey! I do have a question for the Jewish population on the Freehuddle and I’m serious about this. You guys give out nine days of gifts ….right?
Do you send nine packages to one kid of an underprivileged country or do you even have programs like that at the Temple?
English please.Belly35 wrote:Kwanzaa ……This has been dump somewhat…….. Sorry bro it is now Ok celebrate Christmas.
You judge an entire religion based off of a minority that do attrocious things? Maybe I should judge all christians by looking at you, a bigot, as an example. All christians must be simple minded and hate others that are not like them.Belly35 wrote:Ragheads …. The Religion of peaces ….my ass
If you want to talk about women and baby killers …….. Strap a bomb to a handicap kid and send him to the market. That the Religion of Peace.
I supposed if we used your rationale for how the religion of Islam is, we would assume all American soldiers are babykillers based on the small minority that actually have committed terrible acts like that.Belly35 wrote:My squad and I saved more lives ………..but you think what you want. So you're saying all American Soldier are baby killer or just Vietnam? Please clarify
You have neither, so it doesn't matter anyway. Your general delivery of your posts, not only your inability to convey rational thought and coherent sentences, is a prime example of your low IQ that is no higher than room temperature.Belly35 wrote:Why do some of you only relate intelligence to spelling and grammar?
Are you not educated in the knowledge of general intelligence and multiple intelligence?
Based on many of your comments and your narrow mindedness of spelling and grammar equals intelligences I would say you’re an idiot. -

To start, you have your dates wrong, Hannukah began on Dec. 11 and ends on the 19th.
In a nutshell, the Channukah commemorates the jewish revolution of Judah Maccabee and his brothers against the oppressive Hellenistic rule of Jerusalem at the time. The story goes that after defeated King Antiochus and his army, the Jewish soldiers went and found their sacred temple ransacked and in disarray. Wanting to continue to observe their faith, the Jews needed to light the Menorah (or seven branched candlelabra still found today in synagogues), however only a small amount of oil was available. Although there was only enough oil for one day, it lasted for eight. And thus, the miracle of Hannukah was born.
For more information visit http://www.chabad.org/holidays/chanukah/article_cdo/aid/102911/jewish/Chanukah-in-a-Nutshell.htm
As for the whole gift every night thing, it depends. When I was younger, I'd get one "big" gift the first night and a little gift each of the following nights. Most of my Jewish friends had similar experiences. Today my parents just give me some cash or small gift and call it a day. I do the same for them and my brother and sister. To us, and most jews, buying a ton of gifts for one another is not what it is about. It is about being with family, eating good food and honoring traditions. I'm willing to bet that the majority of Jewish children don't receive half the number of gifts in eight nights as their Christian friends get in just one day.
As for the whole giving to charity thing you eluded to Belly, every synagogue is different, but most have programs of ONGOING service. My synagogue, for example, has regular drives for food, clothing and other necessities, runs a volunteer program at a local homeless shelter, leads monthly visits to a local hospital and provides countless other ways for members to help out those in need both here and abroad. In Judaism we call this tikkun olam, which means healing the world. This is a concept that is central to any person who wishes to call him/herself a Jew.
If anyone has any serious questions about Judaism, I'd be happy to answer them. -

I don't get offended if someone wishes me a Merry Christmas. I do get offended when people think that Christian beliefs are the only ones that have any value in this country. -

I think part of it is a notion that the majority is the new minority in terms of being discriminated against. It's a complete load of bullshit, but for some reason, a load a lot of people want to believe. :rolleyes:Websurfinbird wrote: I don't get offended if someone wishes me a Merry Christmas. As lame as this retort was, I'll bite: didn't most of our founding fathers practice Freemasonry and deism? Pretty sure that was the case. Regardless, LAME point. Pretty sure the word "God" is omitted from the constitution all-together, although I could be wrong. It is a secular document.Society wrote:

Our country was founded on the belief that enslaving African Americans and making them do hard labor was an awesome idea as well. Does that mean people should be allowed to be openly racist all of the time because it was in the spirit of the founding fathers?Society wrote: Was this country founded on Jewish beliefs? -
