I use groups on Facebook. Had no idea that there were groups on here.
thats scary.krambman;906345 wrote:To paraphrase The Social Network, Facebook is about taking the entire social experience of life and putting it online. -
chicago510More big changes coming for Facebook. Your profile will soon morph into a timeline, documenting your life as shared on Facebook.

I actually like this current change and the timeline thing looks interesting to me.chicago510;906832 wrote:More big changes coming for Facebook. Your profile will soon morph into a timeline, documenting your life as shared on Facebook.

Agree, things get boring and stagnant when they don't change.I Wear Pants;906855 wrote:I actually like this current change and the timeline thing looks interesting to me. -

I agree, as long as it's not change just for the sake of change...if it's an improvement over the status quo, then do it, but if something ain't broke, don't fix it.se-alum;906926 wrote:Agree, things get boring and stagnant when they don't change. -
bigdaddy2003I don't dig the change. I will keep using it but probably not as much as I used to.

Do you mean the real change that's about to happen (timeline and such) or the tiny change that just happened?bigdaddy2003;906941 wrote:I don't dig the change. I will keep using it but probably not as much as I used to. -

Can you imagine the outcry when the new format drops. "zomg I hate this new layout....wahhhhhhh wahhh"I Wear Pants;907073 wrote:Do you mean the real change that's about to happen (timeline and such) or the tiny change that just happened? -

The way it is now. I liked getting on and hitting "most recent" on the news feed and being done with it. I don't see a problem with people being ok with it but I also don't see why it's a big deal if people don't like it.I Wear Pants;907073 wrote:Do you mean the real change that's about to happen (timeline and such) or the tiny change that just happened? -
justincredibleThis new timeline thing looks pretty cool. Can't wait to actually see it in use.

i will probably use it a lot less once the timeline comes out. i am not using facebook to document my life and dont use apps there either. just a basic user. for the younger kids who dont have a real social life, facebook will be great for them.I Wear Pants;907073 wrote:Do you mean the real change that's about to happen (timeline and such) or the tiny change that just happened? -

I totally agree. Its innovative and actually could totally improve the user experience.justincredible;907113 wrote:This new timeline thing looks pretty cool. Can't wait to actually see it in use.
Contrasted with this latest update which just moved shit around.
I have absolutely no problems with changes for the better, but some out there will complain either way. -

Facebook is pretty relevant for me because I use it to keep up with friends from HS and College even though we all live in different cities now. Also have tons of friends getting married and starting to have kids, so that ability to share pictures and stuff is cool.Glory Days;907263 wrote:i will probably use it a lot less once the timeline comes out. i am not using facebook to document my life and dont use apps there either. just a basic user. for the younger kids who dont have a real social life, facebook will be great for them. -

same here, thats why i use it. however the new timeline thingy seems to be moving away from that. to me its getting closer to the point where you will no longer go out to see people, you will just hang out on facebook watching a tv show etc.chicago510;907285 wrote:Facebook is pretty relevant for me because I use it to keep up with friends from HS and College even though we all live in different cities now. hoops23So, when does Facebook complete the transformation of becoming completely self-aware?
-
Glory Days
the internet itself, not just facebook has already done this to people. think about it, you would be able to learn everything you could about your "friends" without ever having to talk to them.I Wear Pants;907417 wrote:You're a moron. -

insert "OC" for facebook, and this sounds like a lot of people on hereGlory Days;907350 wrote: to me its getting closer to the point where you will no longer go out to see people, you will just hang out on facebook watching a tv show etc. -

I've yet to meet a person who has replaced their real life social life with an internet one that would have had a social life even if the internet didn't exist.Glory Days;907661 wrote:the internet itself, not just facebook has already done this to people. think about it, you would be able to learn everything you could about your "friends" without ever having to talk to them. -

This. I use Facebook quite a bit during the week, but on the weekends I'm hardly ever on because I'm out socializing w/ friends. Same with the OC, I don't post much on weekends at all.I Wear Pants;907745 wrote:I've yet to meet a person who has replaced their real life social life with an internet one that would have had a social life even if the internet didn't exist. -

give it a few years, didnt say it would happen today. when you were younger, facebook was still very new. wait till people are going through their whole youth with facebook as big as it is today.I Wear Pants;907745 wrote:I've yet to meet a person who has replaced their real life social life with an internet one that would have had a social life even if the internet didn't exist. -

No one does. Everyone leaves me on the weekends and I'm all alone.se-alum;907751 wrote:Same with the OC, I don't post much on weekends at all. -
