Im confused. Are you saying that NASCAR hasnt grown since the 90s? Cause NASCAR is the second most popular sport in America...and sheer numbers is a good chunk ahead of the NFL in terms of viewers.

If you were agreeing with S&L...carry on

    NASCAR isn't a sport.

Yes I agree. But I was pointing out that people in the 90s said it would blow up. They were 100% correct. Its fucking huge....I dont get it or have an explanation lol. But it is huge.

I live in a redneck area. Tons of people around me love Nascar. However, when I go to a race party, or a bar, and there's a race on, NOBODY is watching the race until the last few laps. Football? Now, there's a game where everyone watches every play, instead of just drinking their Busch and bullshitting. As far as I'm concerned, viewership ratings for Nascar are skewed.

Oh, PS, soccer can KMA too.

I come on a thread about Alex Morgan, and were talking NASCAR? SMH.

Let's get this back on track.

I would tear Alex Morgan's shit up.

I find it funny when some dude on the first page was trying to find something wrong about her by saying she had a 14 year old body... GTFO... This is the same dude who probably has a wife pushing 200 lbs or some shit. SMH

If anyone is saying soccer hasn't grown, then he/she is just an ignorant idiot. There is a reason why ESPN signed a multi billion dollar contract to cover the World Cup. If soccer hasn't grown why the hell would ESPN spend that money?

I'm not one of those people who say that soccer will be a mainstream sport, but it has definitely grown. You never know though, 80 years ago the biggest sports were horse racing(lol), baseball, and boxing. Never say never. I don't really give a shit if it is mainstream in the U.S. or not, I enjoy watching it, especially international soccer when you can put some pride into your country.

I just find it funny when people find the need to make a big deal otu of people wanting to watch soccer, and its even funnier when those same people tune into the world cup.

    +fucking1

Soccer is a great sport. Especially high level soccer. The sport has been rapidly growing in America as well. Like you said, ESPN has spent BILLIONS of dollars for the rights to televise certain events and EPL games. I believe they are also working or have worked on a La Liga deal? I would love to see them get a Serie A deal on the table as well..

As the younger generation gets bigger/older, the sport of soccer is growing. The 18-35 demographic has been eating it up, and it's also been booming with the younger generation as well.

As for people coming into SOCCER threads to turn things into a pissing contest, it's stupid and pointless.

The US lost after taking 4 shots. Maybe she would have been the fifth shooter?

I believe Ali Kreiger was the 5th shooter against Brazil.

Tobin Heath was terrible when she subbed in for Rapinoe, and you could tell she had no chance on the PK.

she just looked intimidated when she entered the game, and she definitely didn't look ready for a PK of this magnitude
