  It's hilarious how every soccer thread turns into this little pissing match. if you don't like soccer then why do you constantly find the need to post in soccer threads? lolfail. If anyone is saying soccer hasn't grown, then he/she is just an ignorant idiot. There is a reason why ESPN signed a multi billion dollar contract to cover the World Cup. If soccer hasn't grown why the hell would ESPN spend that money?
  
  I'm not one of those people who say that soccer will be a mainstream sport, but it has definitely grown. You never know though, 80 years ago the biggest sports were horse racing(lol), baseball, and boxing. Never say never. I don't really give a shit if it is mainstream in the U.S. or not, I enjoy watching it, especially international soccer when you can put some pride into your country.
  
  I just find it funny when people find the need to make a big deal otu of people wanting to watch soccer, and its even funnier when those same people tune into the world cup.

  ESPN has actually paid Over a billion dollars to have soccer each summer going forward. Mens WC Womens WC Euro Championships and Confederation and Gold Cup, This is in addition to the Premiere League Games they already broadcast.
