Asked the same question on Facebook earlier this afternoon.
Casey Anthony in "Hung Jury" -
jpake1Correct verdict. I applaud the jury. No emotion, just facts. Can't prove she did it even tho all of them probably believe she did. I'd love to know how everything went down.

Slightly off topic, but still related to Casey's sex life - has Baez already banged her or will he wait until she's free? -
Fab1bToo bad I am at work or I'd make a huge exception to watch that Beeeoootch Nancy Grace tonight and laugh!! Druge has a little link to her site but posted her picture as this:

How do you think she has been paying her attorney's fees? -
gutenigmaax;821584 wrote:Now that she is not a murderer, I'll amend my vote in the "Would you" to "yes".
10 to 1 she ends up doing porn....#winner -
gutts1227;821607 wrote:It was probably the incorrect verdict, but the prosecution was asking for the jury to connect too many dots to convict.
That, and probably a strong "CSI effect". It was all circumstantial, but the dots pretty well connected to her being involved. I don't think I could have voted for the death penalty, but she should have rotted in prison for the rest of her life.
To make matters worse, I wonder if she'll get time served for the 4 counts of lying to police (1 year each, I think she's been in jail for 3 years waiting for trial). -
IggyPride00Little Danny;821920 wrote:How do you think she has been paying her attorney's fees?
Taxpayers paid for them because she was indigent at the time. She is free and clear to rake in the cash selling her story and interviews and whatnot while we footed the bill for her defense.
I hope to God that she doesn't have any more kids. She should be sterilized as far as I'm concerned, but something tells me it won't be long before we get reports that she is pregnant again. After a 3 year dry spell she is going to be nailing anything with a pulse, and she just seems like the type that is going to revel in being a pariah. Nothing would bring her more attention than announcing she is expecting again, and I suspect she will happily rub peoples nose in it that she got away with murder. -
gutLaley23;821660 wrote:Agree on child neglect. Im not sure they had any proof on abuse either. But I think neglect could have been proven, based on the kid being , ya know, dead. But I bet they decided to stay away from that and go for the "kill" on the murder charges and didnt even spend much time on the child abuse/neglect charges.
Maybe. I thought neglect would have been a slam dunk...Assuming it was a drowning accident, you don't know that 911 couldn't have saved her. So by their own defense of covering up an accidental death, that seems automatic for neglect to me. Then, of course, you'd have the issue of disposing of a body that way (which has to violate SOME law). You are probably right about the prosecution wanting to go for the max, but maybe also they didn't want to confuse the jury or give them options with such lesser charges. -

Yeah, from what I have read in the media thus far there is a very good chance she is going to go home w/ time served on Thursday. It is surreal to think she is going to be a free woman most likely that day. I can't imagine her parents would welcome her back into the home, but with that family who really knows at this point.I wonder if she'll get time served for the 4 counts of lying to police (1 year each, I think she's been in jail for 3 years waiting for trial). -

That's the worst part. I think convicted felons are barred by law from profiting from their story, but since she was only found guilty of lying to the police I assume she is free to sell her story. That may be the most disgusting aspect of it - bad enough an innocent 2-yr old died but now that the mother should profit from it? -

She is free and clear of "Son of Sam" laws because according to the jury, no crime took place and she had nothing to do with the death. She will be a millionaire in the not so distant future between the book deal, made for tv movie, and "licensing fees" of pictures and whatnot for interviews in the future (that is how media companies avoid directly paying for interviews).
That is why I said earlier she now has the life she has always wanted. She will be rich, not bogged down with a child, and free to party/screw like a rabbit until her heart's content. In her wildest dreams I am not sure she could have envisioned it working out any better for herself.
Just like we saw with OJ, she may be a pariah, but there will always be a segment of the population happy to hop on the gravy train and tag along regardless of what she did. He was a similar pariah, but still had the big house, lots of women, and those willing to look past the fact he was a monster. -

Yeah, it would be great to see the media/entertainment biz grow a conscious and not give her a dime, but obviously that will never happen. -

She'll be out in days since she will have already served 3 years.Ty Webb;821581 wrote:I hope someone beats the bitch to death in jail
Nor am I, this was a terrible case presented by the prosecution. All circumstantial evidence will never lead to a conviction.Ow! My Balls!;821580 wrote:Not surprised at all
I bolded charge, it should be convict (since she was charged just not convicted). Agreed with everything you say. What I personally believe doesn't matter. In this case, there is no prrof beyond a reasonable doubt that she murdered her child.Laley23;821587 wrote:Well, if you like our justice system, this is the correct decision...so well done to those jurors. They didnt let anything get in the way of the ACTUAL evidence given to them. With what was presented, no way you can charge her with murder or manslaughter, imo.
You can bitch all you want about the system we have in place, but with the way its currently set up, this was the right choice, imo.
Ty Webb;821612 wrote:This verdict only shows what's wrong with our justice system.....not what's good
You are such a fucktard. This just goes to show that our justice system does work. The prosecution failed here, not the justice system.
gorocks99;821619 wrote:Max one year for each count of lying to police, so four years total.
And she's served time since Auguest of 2008, so she'll probably be out in days.

+1
Again, as someone else stated, if the facts proved anything it was that there was not enough evidence to bring a guilty verdict.Ty Webb;821828 wrote:Based on the facts and based on the fact that she didn't report her missing for a month
Ty Webb;821840 wrote:It was proven he didn't do what he was accused of....
She may have been found not guilty....but nothing was provided to prove to me she didn't murder her daughter
Nothing needs to be provided to be prove she didn't murder. You are innocent until proven guilty in this country. Evidence needs to be provided to prove guilt, not innocence you ignorant troll.
Do I think Casey Anthony had something to do with the death or cover up of the death of her child.....yes. Do I think you can convict her with the evidence presented.....no way. -
Midstate01I think CNN and hln should be embarrassed of their commentary today. This is unreal. Most unprofessional reporting I've ever seen. Nancy Grace has been just ridiculous!! Calling her a killer on air after she was found not guilty. Sure I think she had something to do with it too. But she was found not guilty. Report on what you know is fact, not what they as commentators think happened.
-
LJI personally think the justice system actually worked the way it is meant to. It was innocent until proven guilty. The prosecution could not prove she was guilty.
Now do I think she did it? Hell yes I do, but if I had to be a juror I probably would have only voted guilty on child abuse and obstruction or whatever it was -
THE4RINGZMost of the overly publicized trials end up just like this.
The sad thing is a little girl is dead. -
Fab1bNancy Grace is a stupid bitch I am more glad that Casey got off just to get under Grace's skin LOL!!

ts1227Facebook and the infinite wisdom of their users, there is now an event to "turn your porch lights on at 9pm in memory of Caylee".
Considering most of the world will be turning their porch lights on at 9 because it's dark and they don't want to trip on the front stoop, that'll really show people! -
Fab1bOf the little bit of news I have gotten to see or read since the verdict was read, I don't get all the hate for the jury??? The prosecution is the ones that F'd this up!!! The jury did exactly what they should have done based on the case laid out by prosecutors!

Random fact of the day. In a combined 70 years of property management, my dad and grandpa never had a break-in on a unit that had all of their exterior lights on.
