Reminds me of the time your dad helped OJ get away with murder. RT @KimKardashian WHAT!!??! CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY! I am speechless!

ithought she was guilty, but understand why shes found not guilty.. However the posters hoping she burns in hell or is murdered herself are the ones that enable a society of hatred. the hatred is what is wrong with this country, over and above crimes comitted. this is not Iran. If someone murders her, they should be put in jail for their lives. What you should do is hope she changes her ways and contibutes to society in a positive way. this verdict is out..its time to move on.

I was more surprised the not guilty on the child abuse/neglect charges than I was the death charges.
Same here. They didn't prove murder beyond a reasonable doubt, but can anyone say there wasn't some sort of neglect/child abuse going on they could have at least hit her with.

Agree on child neglect. Im not sure they had any proof on abuse either. But I think neglect could have been proven, based on the kid being , ya know, dead. But I bet they decided to stay away from that and go for the "kill" on the murder charges and didnt even spend much time on the child abuse/neglect charges.

TMZ is reporting that her parents were stunned when the first verdict was read and then got up and walked out of the courtroom.

That tattoo Casey got proved to be awful prophetic, as she really will be living the beautiful life now. She is free, will be able to cash in on the case, doesn't have the kid to impede on her lifestyle anymore. She has gotten everything she ever wanted in exchange for about 3 years of her freedom.

Classic case of the defense throwing out so many other BS options that the jury starts to question even the most obvious of things.

I can see maybe not giving her the death penalty but to rule the way they did?

    Ya gotta be kiddin gme.

Unless they showed them leaving at a different time then they really did, I thought they left while the judge went over the verdicts.

That is funny because that throwing-shit-at-the-wall philosophy is exactly what the defense said (in closing) the prosecution was doing. It struck me as odd when Ashton (one of the prosecutors) said it in his closing argument and Baez pointed it out - the claim by prosecution for most of the trial was that she used chloroform to kill the kid and then all of a sudden it was the duct tape that suffocated her. The prosecution didn't even know how she died, so it wasn't "the most obvious of things" that she was even murdered.

I don't think it will be quite that easy. The court of public opinion did find her guilty. She will be wearing that Albatross around her neck.

Being found innocent in a court of law and her not being a killer are not the same thing. I'd stay away from that crazy bitch.

I agree, but she will make money off this for sure. She doesn't have to deal with her kid (which clearly impeded her lifestyle), and she doesn't strike me as the type that will much care that she is a pariah to the general public. All things being equal this will end up being a big win for her as she hated the kid, and didn't want to work as evidence by the fact she kept stealing checkbooks from her parents and friends. Now she will have money and freedom, and there are certainly enough desperate guys in this world that she should be able to keep whoring around as she did before she went to jail.

california and florida botched 2 of the easiest (open and shut) murder cases ever. this is where you need to murder people.

I changed my mind--upon further review, I think EP would be a better choice to play Casey in the movie

Exact same case, exact same circumstantial evidence, exact same trial except Casey Anthony and child are black, still found not guilty? Thought I'd stir up some racial tension. :D

The jury won't even meet with the media to explain themselves. I hope the 12 of them are ready to become public enemy #2 when their identities are eventually let out and they are skewered by the national media for letting Casey walk. It might not be fair, but we all have to live with the consequences of our decisions, and they had to know that letting her walk free without so much as even the child abuse conviction was going to bring outrage.

The jury did the right thing based on the prosecution's case and if I was on that jury that is exactly what I'd say!

I didn't watch the trial, so does anyone know the makeup of the jury? How many men/women?
