Casey Anthony found not guilty of murder, guilty of lying to police
-
IggyPride00I have to believe that her parents can't just deny all the evidence they heard in this case as if Casey had nothing to do with it. How can they ever accept her back into their life?

This verdict only shows what's wrong with our justice system.....not what's good -

Thank you. Prosecution fail on this one. They didnt even convince me, and I WANTED to see her get the death penalty. Defense wasnt even that great in protecting her...but the prosecution lost it on their own. So it didnt matter. -
McFly1955So, what kind of time is she looking at now?
-
gorocks99Max one year for each count of lying to police, so four years total.
-
Ow! My Balls!local news is saying she will likely get time served.

I think like a max of a year for each count. Or something. Her only time will be for lying to law enforcement. I would assume she gets time served. You dont go to jail for more than a few days for lying to law enforcement typically. -
4cards...I'm stunned!
No justice in this world when the murder of this beautiful child goes free!

3/4ths of them being moms, biased and shocked at the outcome. Id bank that 1/8th of them actually understand that this is exactly how the justice system is supposed to work -
GoPensUnbelievable. Kudos for the defense for being able to get 12 mental midgets on that jury.
She'll probably walk with time served. -
vball10setI still want to know if Caylee's father knows anything

Fab1bSo now she was found innocent of murder, those of you that said you wouldn't hit it based on her being a killer change your mind now?

enigmaaxLaley23;821587 wrote:Well, if you like our justice system, this is the correct decision...so well done to those jurors. They didnt let anything get in the way of the ACTUAL evidence given to them. With what was presented, no way you can charge her with murder or manslaughter, imo.
You can bitch all you want about the system we have in place, but with the way its currently set up, this was the right choice, imo.
Total agreement. Way too many questions about what really happened. The one thing that stuck with me about the defense was in the closing argument when he pointed out that the prosecution's case was built on trying to convince the jury that Casey Anthony is "lying slut" or something to that effect. Then he said something like, "we already said she's a liar", but essentially, being a liar doesn't prove she's a murderer. I'm not surprised at all by the verdict based on the evidence presented.
Maybe she did it and got away with it, but making that decision because you've watched too much Nancy Grace is more scary to me as it relates to our justice system (you know, gibby could be on a jury) than this verdict. -

Yeah, I already said that. Heretic is trying to get me to go to the end of the line. I say she's gone without it for long enough, she'd probably welcome us all...at once. Who's in?!?!?! -

vball10setIt was up to the State to present evidence to create "beyond a reasonable doubt", and they didn't--the system worked, whether we agree with the decision or not..but I still think the **** is guilty

Fab1bThe prosecution failed to prove cause of death or who killed the girl, I can't say I disagree. I was more surprised the not guilty on the child abuse/neglect charges than I was the death charges.
-
IggyPride00Maybe she will go on a hunt for the "real" killer like OJ did when he lucked his way out of jail as well.
