However, you won't let your eight-year old son or daughter watch PG13 movies because, as far as I know, you're not an idiot.

Write it down and date it.
It's a movie you jackass. They aren't letting their kids watch porn. Get the fuck over yourself.

The rhinoceros in the room revealed:

Ironman92's son's maturity leval at 3rd grade > SVP. Of course he would think a PG13 movie is too old for a 3rd grader.

It's OK SVP. We know where you are coming from.

Another teacher here. It's not a big deal letting an 8 year old watch a PG-13 movie. I'm pretty sure PG-13 means parental guidance for under 13. So, if Ironman is watching it with him, doesn't that in turn make him a GOOD parent?

    Pirates of the Caribbean... ALL
    Harry Potter... ALL
    Spiderman
    Superman
    Batman
    (NEW and OLD)
    Kindergarten Cop
    Star Wars...ALL

All of the above movies are PG-13, so I guess the majority of Americans are bad parents. How many of you saw one of these movies at 8-9 years old? I remember seeing the old Batmans, the old Star Wars, when they first game out, and I was somewhere between 7-9.

    Your parents clearly sucked.

Very good point about PG-13 meaning "parental guidance for under 13."

I hope SVF watches all PG movies before letting his kids watch. If not, bad parent.
PG — Parental Guidance Suggested. Some Material May Not Be Suitable For Children. A PG-rated motion picture should be investigated by parents before they let their younger children attend. The PG rating indicates, in the view of the Rating Board, that parents may consider some material unsuitable for their children, and parents should make that decision. The more mature themes in some PG-rated motion pictures may call for parental guidance. There may be some profanity and some depictions of violence or brief nudity. But these elements are not deemed so intense as to require that parents be strongly cautioned beyond the suggestion of parental guidance. There is no drug use content in a PG-rated motion picture.

My kids generally read instead of watching movies so I don't have to worry about it.
