"Who To Start" questions

I might lean toward Bolden. SF's defense will likely shut down Buffalo's running game and Bradshaw is going to be the main option for the NYG's. I actually cut Brown from my roster this week. With Bolden, he should at least have a fighting chance to get some touches.gorocks99;1287005 wrote:In the flex: Andre Brown vs CLE, Fred Jackson @ SF, or Brandon Bolden vs DEN? -

Ouch. Yeah, I probably agree with BR on this one. You're going to have to go Bolden. The other two options are just not good.gorocks99;1287005 wrote:In the flex: Andre Brown vs CLE, Fred Jackson @ SF, or Brandon Bolden vs DEN? -
brutus161Eli or RGIII?

I'd go Eli although by a hair....brutus161;1289250 wrote:Eli or RGIII?
DJax or MJD or BenJarvus at Flex or MJD or BenJarvus over Ryan Matthews? -
sportchamppsI would play rg3 giants might get up big and just run the ball the 2nd half.
Mjd and matthews -
shook_17do i start eli manning against the browns where it is raining or do i start flacco against the chiefs
-
gerb131Tough one too. I'd go with Flacco

I had Flacco as my backup to Matt Stafford (bye week) and some butthole released Eli and he was just sitting there on waivers. I dropped Flacco, added Eli and started him immediately.shook_17;1290770 wrote:yeah dude. O-TrapI had Tony Romo (and Orton, in case Romo shits the bed any more) on byes and the QB waiver wire is thin, as a lot of teams have two QBs. I picked up Weeden and started him. Did better than projected, and he got me enough to win.
Had to be the only non-Browns fan who would start Weeden in a FFL. -
BORIStheCrusherReggie Bush or Ryan Matthews? Bush has been pretty consistent this year, but Matthews got a bunch of points last week sitting on the bench.

I think this comes down to what you need. If you think you're going to need the higher ceiling from Ryan Mathews, despite the higher risk of a less consistent player, then you gotta start Mathews.BORIStheCrusher;1291003 wrote:Reggie Bush or Ryan Matthews? If you can do with a more sure-thing performance that is still respectable, I vote Bush (one of the few times this can be said outside the political forum ).
As long as you think you can beat your opponent with Bush, I'd go Bush. -
se-alumSeriously considering starting Roethlisberger(vs. Titans) over Rodgers(vs. Texans). Titans pass defense is bad, while we know how good the Texans defense is. I can see Rodgers throwing for a few TD's, but also throwing some picks. What does everyone think?

This will by far be my hardest game of the season. We are both undefeated, but he is beating me by points. I'm out Brandon Marshall but he's out Chicago's D and Marquies Colston for byes. I'm projected to win by 10 but that doesn't always mean much.O-Trap;1291017 wrote:I think this comes down to what you need. True. This past week, I was projected to lose by four. I won by thirty.BORIStheCrusher;1291031 wrote:This will by far be my hardest game of the season. If you can't win with Bush's consistent performance, you've gotta go Mathews, knowing that he's far more prone to a dud. -
hasbeenMy decisions this week:
Alfred Morris vs. Minnesota
or
Ryan Mathews vs. Denver
Morris has been consistent all year, but Minnesota's run D and the possibility of RGIII missing time could hinder him(or possibly give him more touches). Mathews, other than last week, has been terrible. But his PPR potential is outstanding.
Welker vs. Sea; Hartline vs. StL; Nelson vs. Hou; Austin vs. Bal; pick 3
I usually consider Welker/Nelson/Austin must starts, but Nelson hasn't done all that's expected. Hartline has been boom/bust the last 4 weeks and this would be his time for boom, but StL's secondary might say 'fuck you' to that. -
BR1986FB
As far as your comments about Hartline vs the Rams....not sure I like that matchup. Rams pass D is pretty good. Finnegan's addition has given them an attitude and Janoris Jenkins is playing at a high level. On top of that, the Rams seconday has only given up 2 TD passes all year.hasbeen;1291206 wrote:My decisions this week:

I edited my post, should have said StL not Houston. And I agree with you. I just don't know if Jordy Nelson is going to actually do anything. If Jordy doesn't get open, Aaron Rodgers goes elsewhere. Tannehill forces the ball to Hartline enough to make him decent in PPR.BR1986FB;1291210 wrote:As far as your comments about Hartline vs the Rams....not sure I like that matchup. I probably will go Welker/Nelson/Austin because you really can't sit those three guys, but I'm going to be pissed if Hartline outperforms them. -
namod65Ok here's my QB situation:
I have Romo and Luck. Romo had a good first week, but has since then sucked. Luck had a great week last week, and was pretty good in his other games too. Should I keep the faith that the rookie can keep it up? Or take the chance that Romo will finally produce like he can? -
BR1986FB
You've got a tough call. Colts play the Jets on the road and Cromartie pretty much shut down Andre Johnson. Will he shut down Reggie Wayne? Cowboys also face Baltimore on the road, I believe. I might lean towards Romo in this one as the Rats secondary isn't that good and can be exposed. Cross your fingers and hope for "Good Tony" to show up. If they weren't playing the Jets on the road I'd probably say Luck but I'd still lean toward Romo.namod65;1291222 wrote:Ok here's my QB situation:

Don't get cute in fantasy..play the better QB that way when the other QB has a better game you don't feel so shitty about yourself. Always go with the logical option (the best QB in the NFL), because even if you're wrong, hey at least you went for the best option.se-alum;1291020 wrote:Seriously considering starting Roethlisberger(vs. Titans) over Rodgers(vs. Texans). I'd go with Luck and this is coming from a Cowboys fan lol.namod65;1291222 wrote:Ok here's my QB situation:

This start Rodgers no quest about it.SportsAndLady;1291614 wrote:Don't get cute in fantasy..play the better QB that way when the other QB has a better game you don't feel so shitty about yourself.
