Great contribution to the thread. Apparently you're like_that's multi account. lol fail.queencitybuckeye;1874419 wrote:People who raise problems without a clue to solutions tend to be pretty worthless. Other than blowing the Jordan boys, do you add any value IRL?

Bump stops are an automotive part. Bump stocks can make a semi-automatic rifle fire at a fast rate, but measurably and audibly slower than a full-auto.salto;1874422 wrote:Like I originally said, bump stops are damn near full auto speed. If you're arguing against that, you're an idiot.

What does either have to do with the situation in Las Vegas? Answer: Nothing, you can't win on the facts so you create distractions. -

People killing people is always a problem. I don't think anyone thinks this is ok.salto;1874415 wrote:I never said I had a solution but there is a problem. Don't you agree?
Compare gun crime statistics to the past, and I would say it's less of a problem than it used to be. If you're going to complain and act like a gun control snob, I would like to hear your solutions. You're apparently smarter than everyone else on this topic, and yet you still haven't told us how all gun crime could be ended. Any thoughts on that, or you just want to cry about the 2nd amendment? -

Pretty much this. He is going into the useful idiot routine googling anything that can support his stance.queencitybuckeye;1874425 wrote:Bump stops are an automotive part. Bump stocks can make a semi-automatic rifle fire at a fast rate, but measurably and audibly slower than a full-auto.

You would think he could at least get the terminology correct, as it's there for copy and pasting.like_that;1874427 wrote:Pretty much this. He is going into the useful idiot routine googling anything that can support his stance. -

All I'm saying it, AR 15 fans have options. They can legally obtain bump stocks or machine parts and illegally turn weapons full auto. It'll be interesting to find out exactly what type of weapons the shooter used.queencitybuckeye;1874425 wrote:Bump stops are an automotive part. Just to add to this, data shows there was more gun crime during the AR-15 ban than after.queencitybuckeye;1874416 wrote:Yes, which makes the idea of trying to solve the problem with prohibition laughable, as that method has worked zero times in the history of humanity. -

You can also legally obtain materials to create bombs. So, once again what is your solution to end gun crime?salto;1874429 wrote:All I'm saying it, AR 15 fans have options. Much stricter laws, starting with who can obtain CCW, but the NRA and friends will never allow it. Sticker laws make it more difficult to obtain bomb making materials.like_that;1874434 wrote:You can also legally obtain materials to create bombs. Thank goodness we don't have a NBA. (National Bomb Association) -

Do you have a specific proposal? How would you tighten the law? Who can obtain a CCW now that you would prohibit? How would you then stop that person from carrying illegally?salto;1874436 wrote:Much stricter laws, starting with who can obtain CCW, but the NRA and friends will never allow it. -

Gun crime all together has decreased the past 20 years. Not sure how using data is generalizing.salto;1874435 wrote:Way to generalize.

For one, if you've been diagnosed with PTSD from being a veteran, you can no longer have weapons.justincredible;1874439 wrote:Do you have a specific proposal? How would you tighten the law? Who can obtain a CCW now that you would prohibit?
The shooter in Vegas was not a veteran, btw. Interesting to note, he did have his pilots license and an Asian GF. Maybe that's the cause. (sarcasm)
Curious where he got the weapons.
“Not an avid gun guy at all...where the hell did he get automatic weapons? He has no military background,” gunman’s brother says.

How do you prevent the veteran from illegally obtaining a weapon?salto;1874442 wrote:For one, if you've been diagnosed with PTSD from being a veteran, you can no longer have weapons.
That's a start. -
like_thatAlso, what if he already has weapons from his time with the military and he legally transfers them over to a "family member" or "friend?"

Great question but more specific; how to prevent anyone from illegally obtaining a weapon.like_that;1874444 wrote:How do you prevent the veteran from illegally obtaining a weapon?
Criminals will be criminals but laws generally make criminal acts more difficult. All guns, legal or not, are too easy to obtain. -

FYP. Also lacks the due process to be constitutional.salto;1874442 wrote:For one, if you've been diagnosed with PTSD from being a veteran, you can no longer have weapons legally

See "prohibition" and "war on drugs" for two obvious examples of that fallacy.salto;1874447 wrote:

Yeah, I haven't seen a good 3rd amendment case in ages. The rest of the "top 10" appear to be pretty solid for anyone who cares about rights at all.salto;1874450 wrote:Many parts of the constitution are outdated.
