The difference is the half that elected Obama is going to have to reap what they sow. Boomers will get off Scott free.

This logic is apparently hard to follow.

The irony of course is when we start slashing and cutting entitlement benefits, which will without a doubt happen in the next 15 years; I can't wait for the Boomers to start whining about it. Then we will know the real "entitlement generation". LOL

So which is it? Are Boomers going to get off "scot-free" or not?

About the same time that happens, FICA is going to get bumped (probably even before benefit cuts)....all about the time your generation starts making some decent money. I can't wait for them to start whining when they finally learn there's no such thing as "free stuff".

In other (relevant to the thread) news, if Cruz wins tomorrow it becomes more likely we see a brokered convention.

Actually it was about $3 trillion when Reagan finished.

It's looking like a lost cause for Republicans - I don't think Trump or Cruz can beat Hillary. But if they nominate someone else, that persons is guaranteed to lose because so many Trump and Cruz supporters will stay home.

So what I expect to come out of the brokered convention is an attempt for the Establishment to keep the party from disintegrating. Cruz might be the only choice that makes sense, and keep the right-wing Conservatives and Evangelicals from revolting. Trump on the ticket would do long-run, lasting damage to the party. Rubio can take another shot in 2020 or 2024.

They will likely get off free of charge but one can hope they will get what they deserve.

And yes, please tell more about how my generation is the only one wanting free stuff. The irony is thick coming from the -$19T generation.

Again, your generation owns half that, plus Obamacare. They voted for "hope and change" and all they'll be left with is some loose "change" in their pockets "hoping" they can rub two nickels together to make a quarter.

Yes, please tell me more about how unborn generations own that.

I don't think people would stay home. You're underestimating the hatred for Hillary.

It then only took the last 7 years to double that amount, under radical liberal 'leadership'.
Yeah only $18T. Let's blame a group that half its members aren't even able to vote!

In other words, Boomers own it!
By far, the largest demographic support for BHO and his $8T is millenials.

    lol. Enjoy your cat food.

So we are not getting off scott free due to your generation voting in BHO? We'll be eating catfood because of you and the unborn too!

The plan is to get Boomers to learn some accountability. I think you can teach an old dog new tricks, you just need to educate them on their failure.

A lot of millenials and other radical liberals like to kill the unborn; ultimately that increases your personal share of the debt.

So, you own more of the debt than you otherwise hoped.

    Enjoy.

    Delusional.

At least we can see the death of the GOP on the horizon when you have Donald freaking Trump as your nominee. Holy shit.

It's not about unborn generations. It's about you and the millenials who voted in Obama and his $9T+ in debt, PLUS the largest entitlement expansion in 50 years.

Look you all need to take a chill pill or something. I know I'm only in my mid 20s but this is hands down the best economy of my life and the improvement during the Obama Administration has been unreal.

As a moderate republican I'm not a fan of his at all, but he is not some awful president

Maybe you aren't quite understanding. There are unborn people and people who have never voted that will have to deal with the ramifications of the reckless boomer generation who didn't pay enough in taxes to cover their entitlement programs.

FICA needs to be triple on those 50 and over immediately and benefits for current recipients slashed 40%. I'm also willing to pay an increased taxes to help get us off these garbage selfish programs and stamp in history the boomers as the worst generation to ever touch the face of the planet. Unfortunately, Boomers have more free time on their hands to vote in elections since everyone 50 and under has to work 10x as hard to make ends meet.

I have tons of money so I won't be rioting but I can guarantee you the Boomers will rightfully get theirs; that day can't come soon enough.

No need to turn this into an abortion debate.

I will say this though, the number of women who enjoy abortions is zero. If you'd like to discuss further, I'd be happy to educate you on reality.

LMAO....so basically your experience starts around 2008. Is it better now than the great recession 7 years ago? Absolutely. But this is the worst non-recession economy we've had since Carter.

The 2001 recession was bad, the 2008 recession was horrible. But the economies under Clinton and W were much better. You could argue about the soundness of those economies, but better opportunities, better growth, etc..

No, you're being an ass. The reckless Millenial generation voted for a guy that doubled the debt PLUS the largest entitlement expansion in 50 years.

Sure, everyone is fucking the unborn people. But they're going to blame you just as much, probably more, as grandma and grandpa...because you've already got a pretty equal share and you're just getting started.

    ???

The economy is still pretty trash honestly. If you compare it to 2008-2009, its much better but you could easily argue Obama is a non-factor in the recovery.

I do agree though that he isn't as bad as everyone claims he is. He's an average President but I'd take him again over Hillary and certainly over Trump.
