I thought the smiley face would denote sarcarsm. But, generally speaking, mistaking sarcasm is fertile ground for race baiters.

It's fucking pathetic to watch people continue to make excuses instead of going out and getting a fucking job.

"Why Don't you Go Out and Get a Fucking Job???" is akin to saying to losers in the game of Musical Chairs "Why don't you have a Fucking Chair???"

Another case of character assassination to distract from the real issue.

Even if the guys a racist it doesn't change the fact that what the federal government was attempting was wrong.

yeah, gotta side with Isadore on this one. the government isn't the party in this situation that is wrong. and does anyone else notice that this asshole bundy doesn't recognize the federal government, but at the same time, rides around with an American flag?

Yeah, if the govt didn't happen to be the landowner here this would just be a simple contract dispute.

Basically the govt reduced Bundy's permit allowance to 150 head to protect a turtle, so he decided not to renew it but continued to graze 500 or so, anyway. Then it seems he decided that not paying was a good deal for him...

The Bureau of Land Management (who the fuck is that anyway...IRS-Lite???) decided that there were too many people to deal with and wayyy too many cameras. So they decided they would show everyone how bad ass they were and shot the offending cattle and pushed some dirt over them. Over a fucking turtle?

I wonder how the cattle farmers of the USA would feel about The Turtle Warlord branch of the federal government showing up in the middle of the night over some unpaid fees? Cattle don't shoot back, right? I guess I shouldn't be surprised as this POTUS has nooooo problem acting as judge/jury/executioner with his love for murder-by-drone foreign policy. Bundy needed his cattle more than Barry needed his grazing fees, so why not shoot them?

Asset seizure isn't uncommon way of collecting a judgement, and any private citizen with an order for asset seizure can engage law enforcement to enforce the court order. It's just that in this case the govt happened to be the aggrieved party.

I would guess the vast majority of cattle ranchers, particularly those who pay their BLM fees, view Bundy as a deadbeat crook.

So wait a minute. Bundy had a choice in the matter? They asked him to pay up or they were gonna pound some lead into Bessie's head? Who was the judge in that trial... Holder? They lost their PR battle and took their revenge on beings that couldn't fight back. PETA wrote a nasty-gram about it, however their bread is buttered by the Turtle Warlord Gang, so their fussing about it will be quite minimal.

Bundy lost twice in court, and it doesn't look like he ever had a case. He used to pay, then had his permit pulled after he refused to reduce the herd on the BLM land.

Yes, this all could have been avoided if he had just paid what he should have been paying all along (which was @ $300k before all the fines/penalties and court/LEO costs added on).

So despite being strong-armed by the Turtle warlords, he continued to graze that land unobstructed for 20 years...without paying and refusing to pay what he would have been paying all along if the BLM would have renewed the contract to allow him to continue to do what he ended-up doing, anyway.

Sounds like they should have shot the Archie Bunker wannabe. 20 years, eh? Wonder what set off the Turtle Warlords to make them shoot his cattle like hostages? Does this mean it's over now that they've taken away Bundy's ability to pay up? Those birthing-stock mommas they shot in the head are worth tens of thousands apiece.

    how many cattle were "killed"?

the answer is 6.....of his 900 cattle that he illegally grazes on federal land.

and by the way, what kind of ***** militia uses women and children as human shields?

So the federal govt began seizing this mans land 20 years ago and because he refuses to acknowledge their bullshit claims he's the asshole

No. He's the asshole for continuing to graze his cattle after his lease was revoked, and then not paying for the 150 head of cattle that was legal for him to graze, and the other 450 cattle that he was not.

Federal govt never seized is land - that land was Nevada territory land that went over to the feds back in 1848 or so when Nevada became a state. Then I'm not sure of the process of that land reverting back to NV or why it didn't.

Bundy is simply 100% wrong on pretty much every issue here. That's why he's lost in court. Twice.

Oddly enough, "grazing permits" go back around 100 years when cattle ranchers ASKED the federal govt to begin regulating grazing on federal lands because of problems with competition/claim and overgrazing.

I think I read somewhere that the BLM issues 18,000 grazing permits around the country, yet this douche is the only one who has a problem with it.
