Dingey Harry is about to Nuke the filibuster on a likely 50-50 with Crazy uncle Joe Biden casting the deciding vote according to reports.

It is not hyperbole to say this country will forever change when it happens.

Good chance Harry ends up with some significant "buyer's remorse" in January 2015.

Without a filibuster this country is going to be in for some wild turmoil going forward.

I can just see it now when the Republicans take over all 3 branches Medicare/SS will be privatized, and then 4-8 years later when they get thrown out the Democrats will re-instate them as they were. We will see wild swings in tax policy where we go from big cuts to big increases. Obamacare will come and go every few cycles.

The filibuster is the only thing that stands between the majority running rough shod in this country when one party controls all 3 branches. Seeing how often it has happened of late we are on a crash course for some mighty turbulent times.

Agreed. The pendulum will be swinging back and forth pretty wildly.

Great idea Harry! Lets let republicans filibuster everything for 5 years and then on the cusp of losing the Senate to Republicans....let's get rid of it!

No, they fired me. I'm currently unemployed and stuck giving HJ's for change in the parking lot of Hungry Howie's.

You're in luck then. You should get one of those free Obama phones we heard about, as well as food stamps which will allow you to eat steak on a nightly basis, and over a year's worth of unemployment to let you live like a king.

With a secondary income as a male prostitute (under the table income) you are set up to really live the good life for a while now.

Only if it's laced with a healthy dose of Keynesian funny money and heavily regulated by benevolent leftist politicians.

I'm a capitalist. Hope this helps. I'm simply aware of what history has taught us that we can do to make it work better in a monetary economy.

C'mon, now...Obama saved the auto industry, not the city the auto industry built.

It's amazing there weren't a lot more cities to go bankrupt. But it is inevitable. These liberal cities (and many conservative ones, for that matter) have absolutely no hope of meeting their pension obligations.

LOL, if you think our politicians suck now, wait until we run out of road for kicking the can.

Obama was personally fanning the flames of anger today over the Trayvon Martin stuff today with that speech he had. He is starting to act more like the aggitator in chief than the commander in chief.

    starting to??

Secretly he's relieved to be able to talk about Travon Martin, as opposed to Benghazi, the IRS, Snowden, Obamakare...

After President Obama’s remarks about the George Zimmerman case this afternoon, MSNBC’s Touré declared that he’s confident, now, “we really do have a black president.”

“I’ve been thinking lately, ‘Do we actually have a black president, or a president who happens to be black?’” Touré said in his analysis immediately following the speech, alluding to his frustration with what Obama’s done for African Americans. “But this moment was like, ‘Wow, we really do have a black president,’” he explained.
In a later segment, the MSNBC host said the president’s remarks have given him “a spring in my step,” after he’d been “depressed” by the verdict.
Obama expressed his personal feelings on the Zimmerman verdict in a surprise appearance earlier today, telling the press: “You know when Trayvon Martin was first shot, I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is, that Trayvon Martin could’ve been me, 35 years ago.”
    Just let this soak in.
