Disgusted with obama administration - Part II

I thought we were not supposed to profile? Muslims no, blacks no, gays no, but conservatives...yes!BoatShoes;1442322 wrote:I didn't mean to suggest they were indeed "the worst offenders"...I meant to say it hypothetically...like if that's what the IRS thought there still is no good way for them to stereotype conservative groups based on "playing the odds". -

Agree 100%. It is amazing how CYA this most transparent administration is. Obviously it is true because the IRS admitted to it. Shouldn't the response be "when we mess up....."?
This administration is unraveling, it is a confederacy of dunces at this point. -

I've noticed how Obama will quickly jump opportunistically on things that support his agenda. But when something is potentially damaging to his agenda, the qualifiers come out and "we need to wait for all the facts". Again, it goes back to the fact that he's perpetually campaigning and rarely governing.Manhattan Buckeye;1442327 wrote:

gutYou know, it bothered me in the 2nd debate when Obama used this tactic, and also today when he AGAIN played the "how dare you question my integrity" card. The indignation...that's what people do when they have no defense. The simple truth is that people who act with integrity do not get called into question. And a person of true integrity does not resort to attacking other people who have reason to question their integrity.

I meant "far-reaching" in terms of the scope and number of targets. That said, the Cincinnati field office isn't small potatoes...it's a huge operation.gut;1442316 wrote:That may very well be true, but I might question the use of "far-reaching". Sounds like it may have been a single field office in Cincy. Of course, that is probably a regional office, but still hardly a smoking gun of some grand corrupt conspiracy.
It disappoints me more every day that the country puts up with this clown. No wonder Dubya's approval ratings have pulled even with him.gut;1442316 wrote:I'm a little irritated Obama denied or apparently had no knowledge until Friday. I believe that to be total BS. When his administration "messes up", it's as if he's not President; it's someone else's fault. He's blamed George Bush for every ill, real or conceived, since 2008. Why would anyone expect him to take responsibility for how his administration behaves. It's as if he's never stopped campaigning.Manhattan Buckeye;1442327 wrote:It is amazing how CYA this most transparent administration is. Obviously it is true because the IRS admitted to it. Well, at least we didn't elect a white woman-hating, dog-torturing, tax-cheating member of a cult. That would be sooo much worse. -

I will definitely co-sign this.gut;1442330 wrote:I've noticed how Obama will quickly jump opportunistically on things that support his agenda. When Counter-terrorist specialists far down the administrative chain in Special Operations Command take out Bin Laden it's "My adminstration".
When IRS agents/diplomats far down the administrative chain fuck up it's never "My administration". -

"The Obama administration has aggressively investigated disclosures of classified information to the media and has brought six cases against people suspected of providing classified information, more than under all previous presidents combined."
Wow. This is a little more than coercion. I'm speechless - this is shocking while at the same time being unsurprising. -

Obama is equally shocked and if this happened it is outrageous. He just found out about this when the news broke.gut;1442419 wrote:Wow. This is a little more than coercion. I'm speechless - this is shocking while at the same time being unsurprising. -

Belly35Anyone else on board for the NOT MY PRESIDENT .....
When does Obama start taking responsibilities for his administration cluster fuck? Blame is over and the incompetency, corruption, racism, cover-up, with holding of information, favoritism, lies and fraud Obama owns it …
The idea that Obama take credit for shit that he had little to do with but never takes claim to wrong or the incompetency of his administration is an indication of a weak and self-centered loser…
Not the type of individual I would call President … -
derek bomarI stopped defending this turd a long time ago. He sucks.

QuakerOats“House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, R-Mich., blasted Miller over the revelation.
"It is almost inconceivable to imagine that top officials at the IRS knew conservative groups were being targeted but chose to willfully mislead the Committee's investigation into this practice," he said in a statement.
Further, the timeline shows that managers, after compiling a list of Tea Party and other cases, decided to send their report "up the chain in Washington" in April 2010.
Miller did not mention that in 2011, those materials included a list of words to watch for, such as "tea party" and "patriot." He also didn't disclose that in January 2012, the criteria for additional screening was updated to include references to the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. “

QuakerOats"... however, Ron Bell, an IRS employee, informed a lawyer representing a conservative group focused on voter fraud that the application was under review in Washington. On several other occasions, IRS officials in Washington and California sent conservative groups detailed questionnaires about their voter outreach and other activities, according to the documents. “For the IRS to say it was some low-level group in Cincinnati is simply false,” said Cleta Mitchell, a partner in the law firm Foley & Lardner who sought to communicate with IRS headquarters about the delay in granting tax-exempt status to True the Vote.
Moreover, details of the IRS’s efforts to target conservative groups reached the highest levels of the agency in May 2012, far earlier than has been disclosed, according to Republican congressional aides briefed by the IRS and the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) on the details of their reviews."

Manhattan BuckeyeThe AP wiretap is likely the biggest story. The other politics board I hang out on which is much far left and pro-Obama than this one is going nuts.
Holder is likely gone, and he reports to Obama. The administration needs to come clean on this ASAP. -

Add in the State Department Diplomat outed as a spy and this is starting to look like a train wreck. If Obama hopes to maintain any credibility he's going to have to start cleaning house...and I'm not sure that could even help.Manhattan Buckeye;1442657 wrote:The AP wiretap is likely the biggest story. Not to blanket liberals, but Bill Maher last week was joking and bragging about how "Hillary eats scandals for breakfast". And he got wild cheers and applause. As Maher might say, "Really?" It's all about the ideology, they really don't about the other stuff. Even if this is the nail in the coffin for their support for Obama, they're just going get behind Hillary who is probably as crooked as they comeManhattan Buckeye;1442657 wrote:The AP wiretap is likely the biggest story. I think he used to be a libertarian, then he realized it was easier and more profitable to be a liberal.Manhattan Buckeye;1442707 wrote:Bill Maher is a liberal, I thought he was libertarian? -

I'm not even sure how to classify him now. "Dickhead" comes to mind. -

At a minimum, Holder should go straight to jail without being allowed to resign. Then, after a complete investigation, hopefully obama will be his cell mate.
