Good theory. Too much capitalism in it.

Being a lawyer - sales job. It is that simple.

Being a law professor - glorified philosophy job. 95% of my law professors would be absolutely worthless in the private sector. Yet still make $300,000+/year. It is the biggest scam in the US.

Still going on and on about Obama's test scores after all these years. Meanwhile you're a ranting and raving loon on the internet who can't stay on topic or use the quote function and he is the leader of the free world.

You can easily change this meme to bush and it would be accurate.

15 Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. 16 They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are. 17 Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax[a] to Caesar or not?”18 But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? 19 Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought him a denarius, 20 and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”
    21 “Caesar’s,” they replied.
Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.
Last I checked, Federal Reserve Notes have the gubmint's bank on them just like the Denarius had Caesar's name on it.

In any event, I'm sure you're busy giving all of your income and property away to the poor and living a life of vagrancy like Christ? Oh wait you actually live your life almost exactly like a self-interested heathen atheist accumulating wealth and income for yourself in violation of Christ's commandments to his followers. The only difference is you don't use dirty words and you chant to an invisible man in the sky a couple times a week in otherwise worthless buildings and you teach your kids that Dinosaurs were on a ship with humans.

So I might take Christians seriously if when they drop this line if they actually walked the walk. (That's why you have to give guys like Pope Francis and the nuns and priests who take oaths of poverty credit...at least they actually follow the gospel they preach).

Of course, there's also the story of Job (which might be an ironic name for a wealthy person, if you're a liberal)...God allowed Satan to take everything he had. Of course, Satan didn't redistribute any of that wealth. And then after passing the test, does God redistribute Job's wealth? No, he DOUBLES it.

Sounds like God is a capitalist.

What is the point in trying to interpret the thoughts and actions of fictional characters? Back to the memes you humorless drones.

I knew exactly what verses you would try to twist. He most certainly says pay your taxes (aka don't cheat on taxes) but you failed to show a verse where he said "pay more taxes so the government can take care of the poor". Instead he said to his followers to take care of the poor themselves.

that fact alone discredits all your Jesus memes you have posted so far.
Last I checked you have no idea how much money I donate to charities and the poor, so keep it shut unless you know me personally and know my finances.

Of course...to Jmog a casual mention of the word Behemoth means dinosaurs lived with Job. But, because Jesus didn't mention the administrative welfare state through liberal democracy thousands before those concepts even existed...it means we are not supposed to use Jesus' charitable principles in the construction of our commonwealth.

The lengths that Christians will go to fight aid to the poor through "teh gubmint" is staggering. Short of saying "Give your money to Caesar so he can give it to the p00rz...Christians will do whatever they can to avoid walking the walk. And then of course the justify not giving more of their own money to the poor too. If you're not living a life of vagrancy having sold all of your possessions you're not living like Christ. Hope this helps.
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Nice try. Bohemoth in Job goes into great detail about the animal. Equating Jesus saying pay your taxes in one or two sentences to the detail given in Job is mind boggling how inaccurate you can be.

The whole point of Jesus talking about giving to the poor, as with most of his other teachings, all falls back to the person's heart/thought process. If I give money to someone who is poor or buy them a meal or gas or whatever because I want to, that is what Jesus' message was. The ability to choose to do something right is gone from the believer when "charity" is compulsory through threat of jail through the government.

So what other financial assumption about me are you going to make and the twist it to make me out to be a terrible person? Keep trying, just makes you look bad.
