Election Day 2012

They will. They shouldn't though. Obama's goons will be kicking in doors and terrorizing the people that elected him.majorspark;1314851 wrote:The feds will have something to say about this. -

I hope I'm wrong. I said the same thing 4 years ago. -

Then if it is 50/50, tone down your awful language and adopt the art of compromise. Otherwise, nothing you ever say will ever be taken seriously. Really, you have no ideas, you are full of hot air and BS talk. Go back to the drawing board and come up with solutions, because your boys need it. They need help.QuakerOats;1314846 wrote:What are you talking about - we have a 50/50 election. We have a split country: half and half. My views are not horribly wrong nor misguided. Your language of socialists and dictator makes no sense right now. Get with it, and come with real ideas.
Hmm, then get on your boys in the House. They are in the crosshairs now.QuakerOats;1314847 wrote:Balance your budgets, quit coming after me to pay for your spending habits.
let's see if they can man-up and get a solution to the fiscal cliff. I doubt it since they are so blindly led by ideology.
gut;1314850 wrote:LOL, I don't need a refresher in stats. Nate's vaunted poll-of-poll averages was at least +2 for OH. The margin was essentially nil. The fact is, those polls WERE skewed because they were all on the high side of the MOE toward Romney. So I was 100% correct. Rasmussen and Gallup were actually outliers for Romney, which is the only reason Nate was as close as he was because the mode of his data was more like +4/5.
Nobody nailed it nuts on, you couldn't because turnout was a bitch. Nate wasn't any closer than me - 30k votes the other direction and I win.
In fact, I said Obama's best case scenario if he had good turn-out was eking out a win. I was more optimistic on Romney's turnout, but I pretty much nailed the scenarios and levers.
Congrats to you, and I'll admit, you were close, but many other on here were not. It is amazing how awfully wrong many on here were.
Face it, most of you on here completly ignored the west.
The east and midwest is not as important as it used to be. -
BoatShoesKarl Rove talking about how "the President won the election playing small ball." LOL. Can you people not admit that you were wrong? Own it. Why not just complain that people are stupid for buying into socialism and that you are voice in the wilderness...this shit is about a president being elected with a smaller percentage is a joke. God damn. LOL.

The ball is your court. Your boy won; tell us how he is going to solve our problems. It's all on him, again. Looking forward to how he will lead us to solving the insolvency of the nation and all its entitlement programs, how he will lead us from the fiscal cliff, how he will lead us in job creation, how he will balance the budget, how he will reduce our debt.ts1227;1314853 wrote:The County GOP chair hasn't told him how he is supposed to think for the next few years yet. I'm waiting on the end of the world is near talk.....
The Obama re-election is the end of the world and certainly not surprising.
However, I'm confident Obama and his lapdogs in the MSM will spin his re-election as a mandate by the American sheeple for more of the same ineptitude we've enjoyed for the past 4 years. Nothing could be further from the truth of course.
If anything this election has demonstrated once again how clearly divided we've become as a nation.
The silver lining to all of this is that Obama only has 4 more years of ineptitude to go. And the Repubs are once again going to lick their wounds and rightfully so. Morons.
As we drag on with slow economic growth, high unemployment, and soon-to-be much higher taxes I can't wait to hear all the howling and gnashing of teeth. It's not a matter of if it will happen but when.
Let the howling begin. -
QuakerOats
Your boy won; own up. How is he going to solve our problems? I don't recall hearing a plan; I didn't hear him say anything about compromising with the representatives sent there by the people. I haven't seen any leadership for 4 years. Tell us how your man is going to save the nation, please. We are all ears; the ball is in your court.ptown_trojans_1;1314860 wrote:. Umm, ball is in the House's court on the fiscal cliff. What solutions do they offer for it? How are they going to work with the Democratic Senate and Prez?QuakerOats;1314866 wrote:The ball is your court. Your boy won; tell us how he is going to solve our problems. It's all on him, again. But, notice you didn't mention a dictator. Is the President not a dicator anymore? I must have missed that. -

Hilarious, but expected. It is always the problem of someone else .... typical of the progressive generation. They have no idea what leadership means. Hard doses of reality are about to hit; your man is so ill-equipped it is laughable. He has no clue, which is why you can't answer the question. You won, you have the ball; let's see you run with it.ptown_trojans_1;1314869 wrote:Umm, ball is in the House's court on the fiscal cliff. What solutions do they offer for it? Ehh, it still came down to FL and OH, maybe with CO. I think the bigger issue is the dramatic slippage with Latinos, mainly because of immigration. I believe Bush carried that demographic pretty strongly at least in FL. GOP should take half that demographic.
In all honesty, I think the GOP needs to figure out how to breach the white noise of the liberal media. That's really what hurts them at least with women and probably latinos. Because I don't believe the attack ads and political rhetoric in and of itself is enough - people are getting confirmation of that from MSNBC, CNN, CBS, etc.
More than anything, I think the GOP has an attention deficit with the electorate. Not that their message is overly appealing, but the only reason divide & conquer worked was because the GOP was not able to effectively combat it, at least not quite enough.
The bailout might have cost Romney OH, but I think if you look across other states there was a deeper fundamental issue that likely swung OH as well. -

And Obama and the Senate Dems are not blindly led by ideology? Bullshit once again, P-town. Obama got re-elected and the Dems still control half of Congress. It's up to THEM to lead the way. THEY are in the crosshairs. Wow just wow. Once again the Dems get a free pass.ptown_trojans_1;1314860 wrote:Hmm, then get on your boys in the House. They are in the crosshairs now.

BoatShoesKrauthammer cannot admit that the hardcore part of the GOP was repudiated. I'm sorry but the losses by Akin and Mourdock along with the other tea party losses in the last cycle...seem to me that the people aren't into that. It's cost you the Senate twice now...c'mon!

I guess you didn't read the bill. On any battlefield, which according to them the United States is part of the battlefield. Just because both parties are full of despicable tyrants doesn't excuse your president for being one.ptown_trojans_1;1314873 wrote:Only overseas in Yemen and Africa....

My thoughts exactly every time I read you pontificate on the magic elixirs of deficit spending. But you'll get plenty more opportunities to watch and see that policy failing today.BoatShoes;1314862 wrote:LOL -

IggyPride00Virginia has been called for Obama, and Florida is on the verge of joining it.
This turned into an electoral blowout as Obama is going to end up with over 330 electoral votes again.
That Obama almost literally ran the table on swing states when you consider how evenly split the country is is kind of amazing. -
Classyposter58As a republican I don't think Obama is some terrible president. Fact is things have improved in the last four years and the facts show that. But also we've had really no great tragedies, especially compared to The early 2000s. I personally believe Barack is a poor leader though and mitt has a much better track record of taking command. I am actually very shocked that this country reelected Obama and hope that he improves this term and takes more charge. I'm concerned that his over regulation and crippling healthcare will crush our economy though. I really believe heading into 2016 things will be ugly

That's a good apov. I agree the R's are way out of touch, with the west. Ahh, the Senate is still ideology, but the House more so.
And any fiscal solution starts in the House per the rules of the Constitution. So, House, what ya got that can pass in the Senate and get 60 votes? -
Midstate01Obviously these guys are rich, but what does the losing candidate do? All the elected positions are taken. What do they do for jobs?
