gosh a ruddies we have seen how a President can screw up a relief effort, Bush with Katrina. Here we have a president doing an outstanding job, that is deeply appreciated by governor christie, a political opponent but a fellow American.

Seems like this event could greatly help the people of Hoboken. BUT THE RED CROSS SAID DON'T DO IT SO YOU BETTER NOT. I mean, I think Romney is a dickhole, but to demonize him for this is absolutely ridiculous.
    CityofHoboken
We need donations of bottled water, nonperishable food - deliver to #Hoboken City Hall, 94 Washington St. Thank you.

I don't really think it's a big deal but I'm pretty certain this place would be in an uproar if the anointed one acted similarly.

    You need counseling.

Mr. Romney is perhaps the most decent, charitable, and generous person in the political arena today. American is lucky to have him right now.

Ask the people on the East Coast how effective Obama has been at making the seas fall.

Well, it would be a completely different situation. Obama is actually the POTUS, so if he were holding events to get donations in Ohio or Florida, it would be wrong of him. The President has a much different set of obligations than a Presidential nominee does in this situation.

Hey now. Obama was very presidential yesterday when he made the bold statement to the hurricane victims, "We leave nobody behind." He was so busy making statements and being presidential that he didn't even have time to pack one box while at the Red Cross.

Yeah, but Obama is running as a nominee, not an incumbent

I'm sure it will be a priority in his 2nd term to appoint a box-packing czar.

gosh a ruddies, he knows he is not king canute commanding the sea but as christie has shown, his efforts are what is needed within the bounds of the human.

Christie is only kissing his ass so he can get the federal disaster relief he needs. Christie isn't going to cook his own goose throwing Obama under the bus.

Also, let's wait until the storm is actually over before we declare Obama chief master disaster organizer.

by carrying out his presidential duties with compassion in a crisis he does what he should be doing. then we have romney packing a box at a campaign event, maybe that is all he has the ability to do in his self serving little effort.

gosh the republican golden doughboy is acting self servingly, i guess he learned it from the party's candidate.

The best thing he could have done was not circumvent the any efforts of the President, which he didn't.

Why let Democrats suck-up all the handouts? Doesn't Christie have an obligation, as governor, to at least make sure his Democratic constituents get their bribes from Obama on a timely basis?

it is hardly surprising that a romney supporter would be so dismissive of the president acting to save his fellow americans. gosh it might cost you some bucks.
