Did the Obama administration lie about the embassy attacks?

Here's a question for you....Do you want Hillary as the next POTUS?.
This is 100% accurate. This is more of a media failure than it is about Benghazi now. Whether one voted for Obama, or for Romney or someone else, it should be very disconcerting to everyone how our media will not even try a bit of investigative journalism that might make the administration look bad. This was a horrible tragedy, and a huge government failure. And I'm reading on my yahoo! feed how the GOP is obsessed with the story and won't let it go? How about because the story was never truthfully told, and the media cares more about Michelle Obama's ridiculous wig which is a hairstyle which looks great on an ethnic Chinese woman.

I don't plan on ever running for public office, but if I did anyone that would ask could have my HS transcript, my college transcript, my SAT, my ACT, my LSAT, my LS transcript, etc. There is nothing to hide.

I have no idea why to get a job (the few jobs that are left in the U.S.) today many employers require credit checks, but with respect to the most important job in the country virtually no disclosure is needed. The "Left" demanded Romney's tax records, I don't think it is asking too much for more disclosure from Obama.

Yes, I think she demonstrated her ability to think and act under fire today during the Republican-led witch hunt. If the Senators and Representatives had bothered to do their jobs today and asked serious questions instead of giving us the rambling political finger-pointing these hearings could have actually been constructive.

When in doubt, blame the media. Typical fallback position. Is that the standard talking point for conservatism these days?

There is doubt? Look at how old this story is and Clinton just now gave some sort of explanation. No doubt at all, it was pure media bootlicking, and it is unacceptable. You cannot be so stupid to think that if this happened during W's administration there would be 24/7 news coverage from day 1. It's day 120 and we still don't get the full story.

Believing in the constitution, being smart with money, being against useless wars and believing in liberty and the potential of the individual spirit. Yea, what a nutjob.

Unfortunately for you, when history is written about this era, you and your government is great friends will be shown as a failure that brought about the end of the American empire.

    very disconcerting.....

Today the media is just now focusing on her warning about North Africa...lol. This news is 6 months old! ...and I suspect a lot older than that. Did anyone listen to Condi Rice at the RNC and in the days leading up to the election? Nope.....This was just ...ugh... 'buried' so someone could trumpet that Al Qaida was on the run....and aided by a media that has become an all to willing propaganda distributor.

    Yes... very disconcerting.

While true, having a bureaucracy that does not allow for security measures to me implemented does allow for people to die...rather than put in place measures to keep them safe.

I prefer to believe that when history is written about this era Rand Paul and his loony followers won't even merit a footnote. Hell, next to Paul, Scientology has more credibility.

Both Clintons are extremely adept at lying. That the left loves them so much tells you just how low their standards are, and how someone like Obama is able to rise from nowhere. Repubs have a simila problem with finding good leaders.

Even a greasy politician like Hillary at times looked like she didn't believe the BS she was spouting. The fake attempts at indignation weren't very convincing either.

I actually felt embarassed for her, because it looked and sounded like she wanted to spill some more, but knew the damage it would cause her superiors.

Feigned indignation is such a transparent attempt at hiding lies - Obama did that on Benghazi in the debate. But apparently it's effective.

LoL. Rest assured that this is not how the rest of the country who aren't hardcore conservatives viewed it.

She has never been more popular in America and her numbers will only get better thanks to this dog and pony show.

Yeah they couldn't actually be insulted by wingers trying to turn a mistake and its subsequent discombobulated aftermath into a full-fledged conspiracy.

It's almost funny that Boehner thinks Obama has anything to do with their self-annihilation

Just stop it it. Right there. W lied us into friekin war...and the media still gives him a pass. He and his pals should be pounding big rocks into little ones.

God Almighty. Over a million people dead in Iraq/Afghan.... including 5500 American soldiers A-OK. But now we have 4 dead...and it's all about the media?

Where was the kangaroo court when all the intel was confirmed to be twisted and distorted circa 2002? Well where were they? You partisans are a bloody hoot.

Very weak....and very vague. You challenged none of the 4 things listed by Pmoney. And as Buck noted above, Rand is not much like his old man.....at all. Ron followers don't much care for Rand.

By tying the 2 together, it clarifies that you don't know a damn thing about their politics.

The end of the American Empire is long overdue. The sooner we admit to this fact, the quicker we can actually recover.

No, it's the denial of mistakes and subertfuge to hide that mistakes were made. That's the sort of thing that got people all fired-up over Bush and Iraq, eventhough 95% of the international community thought he had them and knew he was blatantly flaunting UN resolutions.

Once again, people only get outraged when it's the other side doing the deception. If you want to know why politicians continue to lie and mislead, it's because it works.

    I agree, Manhattan.

Where is the media regarding the survivors of the Benghazi terrorist attack? Why aren't they trying to find out the names, locations and stories of the victims of the raid? On a related point, why aren't the Obama Acolytes on the OC questioning what is going on with the victims? We have become a victim-society, so this is right up their alley. Is the Supreme Being's Kool Aid so strong that they've been rendered zombies when it comes to questioning their Dear Leader?

Regarding the survivors - http://cnsnews.com/news/article/clinton-has-talked-only-1-american-benghazi-survivor-4-months-talked-none-wake-attack , why has the Secretary of State only talked to 1 of them in 130+ days since the terrorist attack against Americans? She's hiding behind the FBI? Is she that uncaring that her own staff got whacked and doesn't even care to talk to the people that survived? And the Hillary-strokers are just fine with this type of "leadership"? Do you want a future Commander In Chief to be as obfuscating, under-the-bus-throwing, sidestepping coward as she has shown herself? That's what you believe in? Seriously?

Finally, if this is such a non-story for the Supreme Being's defenders, then why all of the cover-up? Why can't people talk to the victims? Where are the victims? Why are they being held in a warped "Victim Concentration Camp"?

It looks like CBS' reporter Sharyl Atkisson's attempts to find the truth were cut off by her bosses on November 23rd - http://www.bizpacreview.com/2013/01/23/stonewalled-cbs-reporter-fights-back-embarrasses-obama-administration-on-twitter-16316 Doesn't this bother any of the Obama acolytes? Is it perfectly OK to be forced to stop looking for answers and the truth? What if this happened circa 1973 and no one could ask any more questions of Nixon? Bet that would have made you mad, eh? Why is this different? Nixon didn't allow ambassadors and their protectors to be murdered by terrorists, but now it's just, "what difference does it make?" And that makes it ok because Hillary said so?

I hope Ms. Atkisson continues on her solitary journey. Although, I'm certain her tweets will get her fired...or sent to Vladavostok to study how far down the earth, or hell, can freeze over.

The ineptness and inaction by this administration is DISGRACEFUL and UNFORGIVABLE!!!

And the LIES in the aftermath are TREASONOUS.
