This gives you a compelling choice: either stay stateside and reap the benefits of lower taxes, rolled back regulations, and a growing economy under the Romney presidency, or make use of a free ticket to any foreign Jet Blue destination, say Europe perhaps, where you can bask in the wonderful, booming socialist eocnomy that so many Europeans have come to enjoy.

    FWIW ...........no charge :D
I'm sure they will have a pillow and an ice pack you can put on your freshly snipped balls.

Well Moody's, Goldman Sachs, the CBO and necessarily their experts essentially said the same thing when they projected that the American Jobs Act, if it had passed last fall would've brought down our unemployment rate by a percentage point and increased GDP a percentage point. Meanwhile, these same institutions are projecting that the sequester, a poor man's version of what you think would be a good idea, would do the opposite. Meanwhile, it's apparent that the defense industry is preparing to lay people off in response to spending cuts...hmm...but how could that be Gut when it's just fat that needs to be trimmed and will have no consequence from being cut???

But how could they produce such reports with a straight face I guess

Don't they know Obama really just wants to be a celebrity????????

his is the first thing I have read about why to vote for Romney other than "at least he's not Obama."

Goldman-Sachs, the #1 donor to campaigns of parties that have a history of reckless spending and devaluing the dollar (which is not good for any economy), is claiming that the idea of said campaign is a good one.

    I'm shocked and amazed ...

Because "they don't have a shot at winning."

    Self-fulfilling prophecy.

O-Trap...so proud of you in how you've grown to hate the investment banks. Maybe someday you will come to grips with the reality they have become the antithesis of what free capitalism was supposed to represent.

When you meditate tonight...do not utter "ohhhhhmmmm". Utter this instead. "Privatize the profits....socialize the losses....privatize the profits...socialize the losses."

Eventually it will become clear. The bankers are the Robin Hoods of the World....in reverse of course. They steal trillions of dollars and never have to repent, reimburse or become an incarcerate. And....they are privately owned, and they do ALLLLL the regulating around here.....not the gobblement.

Quid pro quo, Foot. Just because they're doing it doesn't mean it's for their benefit. These groups do something and get something in return. These are the definition of "special interest" on the largest scale, and the problem is that Uncle Sam isn't kicking them out of bed. They should be forced to compete in the game, not pay off the dealer.

Because that's the way cycles work. But when you flush exhorbitant amounts of money down the toilet, threaten to recoup that by soaking corporations and the rich, and then pass expensive and prohibitive regulation...well, then there's no one left to absorb the slack. That, in essence, is the Obama overhang.

I don't expect Romney to carry Illinois, but these are interesting numbers from Cook County, Illinois:

I'd be awfully shocked if Obie lost Cook County. Y'know what I mean? ;)

Obama is out today shadow-boxing the faux-Romney he and the media have manufactured over the past few months. He's getting some nice applause.

So, do you think debating the "real Romney" [read: not the guy that debated last night] after-the-fact is going to score points? Lots of liberal handwringing today over the reboot/etch-a-sketch/pivot...Not really, all Romney did was get up there and tell us where he stands, positions that have been largely misrepresented and distorted by the media to prop-up BO.

One has to consider poll methodologies. Perhaps this one only includes living voters.

Doesn't matter. The only question is by how large a margin does Obama win. I've been saying all year that none of the candidates on the Republican side could win. It's nobody's fault but the members of the Republican Party.

What's Obama going to do, bomb Libya?

That's about his best chance of winning election at this point. Historically, Americans rally around the POTUS during war (at least at the start).

    This - http://www.examiner.com/article/report-obama-attempting-to-block-major-story-on-donor-scandal

    Here's the take-home:
According to Bedard's sources, "a taxpayer watchdog group conducted a nine-month investigation into presidential and congressional fundraising and has uncovered thousands of cases of credit card solicitations and donations to Obama and Capitol Hill, allegedly from unsecure accounts, and many from overseas.""That," he added, "might be a violation of federal election laws."
Bedard said that the Obama re-election campaign has received "hundreds of millions in small dollar donations, many via credit card donations through their website. On Thursday, the campaign announced a record September donor haul of $150 million."

    Really??

Is that how far some are reaching now?

This same thing came up in 2008 when he started raising more money than McCain

There are way more non-USA Americans in this country than intelligent voters and this thing is already over. BHO will be POTUS for the next 4 yrs and you might as well get your head around that fact now. Its not what should happen but it is what will happen.

The polls and/or media made me think Obama was going to win in a landslide. I admit most of my friends seem to be the same, but I don't know very many people who would admit to voting for Obama, so I was curious to see what people here thought. And the fact that currently 19 of 33 voters think Obama is going to win would lead me to believe that he probably will. (I would expect this board to be about as biased as can be.)
