As long as you agree to become a Muslim, obey the caliphate, adhere to Sharia Law, treat your women as second-class citizens, follow the Pillars of Islam, pay your alms, avoid pork, fast during Ramadan, make a pilgrimage to Mecca, stop & pray 5 times a day, strap bombs to your children to kill apostates & infidels, show a healthy desire to nuke Israel into oblivion, believe in your heart the United States to be the Great Satan, and can wipe your ass with the proper hand - you will be tolerated and may live in peace.

Yup, because all Muslims are like that......

Not all. Islam's "tolerant & peaceful silent majority" must be apathetic about of the many who are - indeed - like that. I wonder why that is?

They are not apathetic. They speak out to it all the time.
Just listen and have an open mind. Do not generalize a religion of billions based off a vocal minority.
Whatever man, you have your view, more power to you, even if it is narrow.

I believe myself to be a fairly informed and reasonably intelligent person with a healthy interest in political and religious affairs. I rarely see any peace-loving Islamic leadership calling out the haters in their religion. In my narrow-minded world, the silence of the ones who "speak out all the time" speaks volumes.

Tell that to Obama, Hollywood, and the MSM when it comes to their bigoted, narrow-minded attitudes towards Christianity.

I read it all the time in the Arab, Indonesian, and press here, in NY, and other places.
A mosque in the area routinely speaks out against violence.
    Whatever though.
Haha, way to generalize again. Yes, Obama has a narrow mind, yes all of Hollywood hates Christians, and yes all of the MSM hates Christians.
Quit speaking in generalities. It is not like that all. You cannot classify a whole group like that.

This thread is still a joke, and really sad. Borderline bigotry. It's sad we cannot be more tolerate and instead throw up generalities and assumptions.

I'm always amazed at the inherent hypocrisy of the secular humanists who can generalize and make assumptions about Christianity without impunity, but when Christians use sarcasm and generalities to drive home a point it's sad, a joke, and borderline bigoted. "Whatever man." ;)

    Yup haha.
I actually never make generalizes regarding Christianity, because I know it is a complex religion and involves many, many sects. Same goes for Islam, and Judaism for that matter.
I'm far from a secular humanist, I'm more a pluralist-believe in the One God-just not one interpretation of it.

What gets me is throwing generalities about Islam, or any faith, and using those to cast one view over a whole faith.
It is way more complex than that, and it is just sad that people throw out generalities and assume and take it for fact.
It is poor analysis and bad judgement in my view.

Don't you realize that muslims are evil? Many on this thread know that even though I can guarantee they have never met a muslim, they know that.

We can see the threat of censorship rearing its ugly head on this thread. We had better follow the party line that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance or else. The life of its founder make the claim of peace and tolerance a sham. The Prophet used the ethnic cleansing of the Jewish tribes Banu Qaynuqa and the Banu Nadir and the genocide of the
Banu Qurayza. And his followers continue the practices from Nigeria to Indonesia. Tolerance when a Christian tries to build a church in Saudi Arabia or a Muslim converts to Christianity in Iran or statues of Buddha stand in Afghanistan, not likely. Coptic Churches burned in Egypt, Christians slaughtered in the Sudan and continuing “cleansing of Christians” as they driven out of the Muslim countries. These are not an aberration.

I lived next door in my dorm to 2 Muslims from Syria while at Ohio University...which was also during the time of the Iranian hostage crisis. They always got a kick out of my military uniform when I would head to Columbus for my Air National Guard weekends. We got into many heated political discussions. Never feared them at the time but I bet that if I visited them in Syria, they'd probably be in the thick of the mess going on in their country right now...just sayin'.

My new neighbor upstairs in my apartment complex here in Tennessee is Muslim. He drives a damned nice Lexus and plays his bizarre Middle Eastern rock music so loud it shakes my walls...but I don't think he plans to shoot me because I'm Christian. Seems to be a decent guy considering this apartment complex is full of soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division.

What was your point again?

Thank you. It is always nice to get an informed opinion. But it seem we have repeated many specific examples of by Muslim groups and Muslim nations toward others especially Christians and Jews.
First the ‘cleansing” of Jews from nearly all Muslim nations and now the Christians. Unbelievably repressive laws against Christians in several Muslim nations. Extermination of Christians in some Muslim nations like the Sudan. Group attacks on Christians in others largely ignored by the governments. And as they look at their own history the continuing denial of Turkey of the extermination of over a million Armenian Christians. But it is no wonder if they look to the example of their Prophet.

Question does 1.5 billion equal billions? I really don’t know.

Don't you dare kid yourself. You are dead wrong. He does plan to shoot you as it's written in the Qur'an to do so....as the prophet has so instructed.

Clearly he is just waiting to blow the entire apartment building up. I mean it is a perfect target. Christians and American soldiers.

Also, I didn't realize you knew so many muslims. 3 is quite a lot. I'm sure living next to them has really given you much insight in to who they are and what they believe. :D

Your statement was - and I quote - "...even though I can guarantee they have never met a muslim"

I've actually met a few more than the 3 I mentioned but OK.........;)

I didn't realize I specifically stated that you never have; I stated that many on this thread never have and I stand by that statement. You just took it as if I were addressing you although I was just making a blanket statement about the many, sort of like MANY on this thread have blanket statements about the muslim population.

given his support for the killing of Malcolm X, he does know about assassinations. If he set up an assassination he would just be copying Muhammad who had people assassinated including Jewish tribal chief, Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf.

So you're saying that Muhammad killed people? It isn't quite clear if that is what you are saying in your many posts about him. And if so, are you also saying that muslims want to follow the example of their prophet?
  • isadore
    yes
  • dwccrew
Ok, just wanted to be clear. It was kind of ambiguous.
  • isadore
I am glad it has been clarified for you.
