Michelle Bachmann's husband tries to straighten out gays

cruiser_96I heart O-trap. And not just because I'm commanded to. (Certainly, though, not because I have an involuntary response to. )
-
I Wear PantsI love when O-trap posts. So thorough that even trolls have a hard time arguing with him.

“Washington, D.C., you’d think by now they’d get the message,” she said. “An earthquake, a hurricane. Are you listening? The American people have done everything they can, and now it’s time for an act of God and we’re getting it.” -

WriterbuckeyeI'm glad she keeps making these off the wall comments. The quicker she's out of the race, the better it will be for all Republicans interested in making sure Obama is a one-term president.

This. Even though I'd still take her over Barry.Writerbuckeye;877361 wrote:I'm glad she keeps making these off the wall comments. The quicker she's out of the race, the better it will be for all Republicans interested in making sure Obama is a one-term president. -
jhay78What's funny about that quote is how everyone took it so seriously, when she and everyone in the room was laughing when she said it. But whatever, she should've known better and not given people such an easy target.
I probably agree with her on most things ideologically and philosophically, but her lack of experience, especially executive, is what keeps her from being one of my top candidates. -
jmogJhay is right, if you read the quote on text/paper it looks bad, but if you saw the clip is was 100% obvious she was joking as she was laughing and so was everyone on the room. However, she still should have known that something like this would be taken way out of context by the MSM.

Exactly. The MSM is having a field day with her. The media present in the room had to be fully aware of the context in which this was said, but they have no issuedisseminating it to the public it their usual false out-of-context way.jmog;877510 wrote:Jhay is right, if you read the quote on text/paper it looks bad, but if you saw the clip is was 100% obvious she was joking as she was laughing and so was everyone on the room. If Bachmann were a Democratic candidate for POTUS, rest assured this would never have been broadcast.
The bottom-line is this: If Bachmann wants to be taken seriously, she unfortunately needs to minimize these comments even if they were obviously made in jest.
That being said, I really hope Bachmann drops out soon so we can stop wasting resources on her and focus on kicking BHO's ass to the curb. -
FairwoodKingBHO's ass will not be kicked out onto the curb. He will win the election in 2012 and I am very glad of it.

This is one instance where I'll agree with you about the "mainstream media". Where they got it wrong was that Bachmann and her cronies/supporters were laughing about the comments. I'd be willing to bet that those who lost property or loved ones in this disaster weren't laughing, nor are they appreciative of someone, much less a renowned U. S. Representative, making light of their situation. The media got it wrong, that's for sure, but Bachmann and her ilk were way out of line with their feeble attempt at humor. I am really enjoying her stay at the top level of the Republican elite, though. It shows the rest of the country what a bunch of idiotic nut-jobs they and their supporters really are.believer;877711 wrote:Exactly. The MSM is having a field day with her. Other than idiocy like "I'm a Democrat and will always be loyal", why would anyone be happy about the prospect of an additional four years of this abortion?FairwoodKing;877955 wrote:BHO's ass will not be kicked out onto the curb. He will win the election in 2012 and I am very glad of it. -

Because the alternatives are even worse. Perry, Bachmann, and the others are idiots who would bring the whole country down.queencitybuckeye;879270 wrote:Other than idiocy like "I'm a Democrat and will always be loyal", why would anyone be happy about the prospect of an additional four years of this abortion? -

In real, specific terms, how would one do a worse job than the current president?FairwoodKing;879494 wrote:Because the alternatives are even worse. Perry, Bachmann, and the others are idiots who would bring the whole country down.
Careful of the name calling, I was frankly surprised to find out what an intellectual lightweight the current POTUS turned out to be. He's slick with a prepared speech, but off the prompter, he all but babbles incoherently. I knew I wouldn't care for his policies, but was disappointed to find out that he flat out isn't very smart. -

Not even Joe Biden would say something so idiotic. -

Any plan that the current group of incompetent boobs in Congress has to fix the economy will also be a first. So far the party on no has did everything but come up with anything remotely addressing the problems.queencitybuckeye;879590 wrote:In real, specific terms, how would one do a worse job than the current president?

Unless the economy makes a huge rebound in the next year obama will lose to any of the current repub candidates. If ghe economy recovers he will beat any of the current candidates. It is that simple. -

FairwoodKingI don't vote for a candidate solely on his or her gay record, but since I am somewhat of an activist, I do take this into account. From my observation, every leading Republican candidate seems to have a strong anti-gay agenda. I'm just glad Don't Ask Don't Tell is out the door and that a big state like New York allows gay marriage. I don't think any of the Repub candidates can take those things away from us.
I like Obama because he got rid of DADT and he implemented Obamacare as he promised to do. I am disappointed that he didn't get more jobs created, but that's the only knock against him. -
