This really would not be the case. Israel is a small country intermixed with Arabs. Any nuclear attack would kill countless Arabs. Not just within Israels borders. The fallout easily reach into neighboring Arab nations. Its in the Iranians interest to for us to think they may be nuts enought to use it. A lot of concessions to be had. They see what the NorK's are getting away with. Like I said their are several countries that will go to war to prevent Iran from possessing that leverage.

Iran isn't going to do shit. They simply want to look a crazy and get on the "mutually assured destruction" level so they won't be so easily pushed around.

It's really not that different from what Saddam Hussein did. Saddam feared Iran so much that he made it look like he had all of those weapons of mass destruction. Iran wants to have the bomb so that none of their neighbors would think of invading them.

I'm all for two things: 1) espionage 2) letting Israel go to war and selling them every bomb that they need. Israelis can die for this, Americans don't need to. We also don't need to spend the cash on this and spike oil prices when we can make some coin off of Israel for a change.

So many questions for the American mind.
I'm pretty sure that without the apartheid policies towards Palestinians, there would be zero suicide bombers. It's the same idea with the Catholics of Northern Ireland that did the terrorism thing back in the sixties...for being treated like crap. Or the Israeli terrorism group, Irgun, that blew things up just as ruthlessly as the Palestinians back in the twenties and thirties.

British actor Peter Ustinov had it exactly right when he said the following....

"Terrorism is the war of the poor, and war is the terrorism of the rich"

People from all religious sects have used terrorism as the only means to protest against human rights violations. Christians, Jews, Muslims....all have performed terroristic acts as they have fought the poor man's wars.

Imagine if......would Americans become terrorists too? If...

Excellent post and map. If people can't look at that and see a huuuge problem...in how out foreign policy is the crux of our threats and hatred, then they are the most illogical people in the world.

Every single one of those black dots spit in the face of Washington, Jefferson, Adams, and a whole host of other founding fathers that preached no entangling alliances.

And we do all this nonsense while Rome is burning...economically...at home...at a cost of over 1 trillion per year. SMFH

You could change the last sentence by deleting the final three words and it'd still be accurate.

Rush, Beck and the rest are really trying to convince people that Santorum is actually legit. Funny listening to them spin last nights debate.

On another note, lot of chatter that Rand Paul may be a vp candidate and thats why Paul doesnt attack Romney as much .

    Eric Ericson from Red State:
The crowd leaned to Mitt Romney. It was probably inevitable. Mesa, AZ is the second largest concentration of Mormons in America and the State Republican Party handled getting the seats filled. It threw Rick Santorum off his game. The crowd booed Santorum taking on Romneycare’s individual mandate.
God love Willard. In cahoots wtih the establishment to pack to crowd with his supporters to give him a leg up. He is honestly more desperate to be president than any person I have ever seen.

You could tell that place was packed with his people, applauding before he even finished his responses, etc.

Ron Paul doesn't attack Romney at all, even though the two are the farthest apart ideologically of the four candidates. Something smells there.

I've been saying for months that this would be the best thing to happen. Romney and Rand Paul would destroy.

I still don't see it, Romney will pick Marco Rubio.

Not after today's report about Rubio's time spent in the LDS church as a youth.

Not to mention that Rubio wants no part of that ticket. He has future presidential aspirations, and being on the wrong end of a losing ticket is a career killer as I can't remember a losing ticket VP choice going on to be President at least in my lifetime.

To that point, even if Willard wins and conceivably has 2 terms, the odds of Rubio then winning the presidency would be hurt as the country is usually ready for change after 8 years. Other than GHWB, I can't think of a VP who served both terms that was then elected to the Presidency.

Rubio needs to stay the hell away from Willard as he has a real future in the party. Let him kill someone else's career.

That's just it, though. If Romney and Rubio are elected and they do a great job for 8 years, I would think that Rubio would be a shoo-in to win the Presidency.

I see your point, though. If you lose you are damaged goods.

I think the days of Richard Nixon, who ran for either President or Vice-President five times and won four of them, are long gone.

Bill Clinton was President during one of the best economic expansions this country has ever seen......how did that work for Al Gore?

After 8 years of one party people are just ready for change for the sake of change. Especially with how polarized this country is politically.

    This is a big story.
The report is legit, from the bipartisan office that helped shaped the Simpson-Bowls Commission. It also helps, I used to work with people that worked on the report haha.

Bottom line for the R's-they have to find a way to tackle Medicare and Social Security. Otherwise their debt talk is total BS.

On Iran, yes, they are shady, no they are not for sure seeking a nuke. We don't know that for sure. The U.S. intelligence officials spoke last month saying that Iran still has not made the decision to go nuclear. They are getting everything ready for when they might decide to.

Plus, if they decide to do that, it will still be a year plus before they get it on top of a missile.
Even then, our Missile Defense in the region could be able to shoot them down.

On Syria last night, they were awful. Romney was the only one that actually spoke about it last night. The others are really idiots.
Romney is the only one that is actually electable. The others are too fringe.
Paul has his points, but is too much liberatrian for the country.

Ron Paul supporters are the most obnoxious people I've ever met. I've never seen a group of people worship a man like they do. I can guarantee there will be a Church of Ron Paul started in the near future. You people are fucking nuts.

After Neo-Ron is finished bargaining a veep slot for his son Rand on the Romney ticket, the Paulists will no doubt bring frankincense, gold, and myrrh to the manger as a love offering. ;)

You'll have to forgive me, I'm not in the business...but does anybody know what happens when a nuclear tipped missile gets shot down?....I'm assuming that it doesn't just vaporize.

Allowing IAEA inspectors would be a sign of good faith and assauge a lot of the world's fears. What happened to supporting non proliferation?

George Bush put SS on the table with a good plan to start privatization -- he was crucified by democrats and the liberal media. Paul Ryan put a good plan on the table to begin to address the medicare system; he was crucified by democrats and the liberal media. Until the left truly joins in and accepts the reality that their do-nothing, kick-the-can, spend-n-tax more mentality is dooming us all, then nothing will happen.

And I suspect, that nothing will continue to happen because of the left's inability to deliver bad news and deal with it. Thus, Greece is coming to the States in the not too distant future. Good luck with that.
