Columbus is the only one around here that does that.Most of the big departments will send you to the academy regardless of your prior certs. Most departments would rather train you their way, than to have someone who was taught differently.
I know a decent amount too. 4 Uncles who were/are fire chiefs. 5 cousins who are firefighters, 3 friends who are firefighters.Believe me or not, the fire service is one I know a lot about. -

What departments? In my experience, the only departments that require prior certs are those not governed by civil service. There are some, but not many.LJ;945819 wrote:
