    They're trying to argue that more people will be laid off if SB 5 passes. The unspoken part of that is: we won't have power over the (city, county, board) to push staffing levels where we want them, so people will be laid off.

    The truth: SB 5 will allow for more reasonable contracts and there will actually be less layoffs, because the union won't be insisting on a maximum raise, even if it means some people lose their jobs, which is what has been happening more and more as the economy went bad.

    Funny, you didnt care 5, 10, 20 years ago etc. Do you request a copy of the city and state budget every year to review it? Do you review each salary of every public worker and review their evaluations? there are probably a lot of things you wouldnt want your tax money spent on.

    heck, what about the health of public workers. you are paying their salary and insurance, should public workers be banned from smoking, drinking, skydiving etc? imagine how much money would be saved if workers were sick less and lived longer.

    what piece? i dont remember posting a piece. HOWEVER, its probably about as true as everyone saying SB5 will save cities money.

    The MSM chastised, lambasted, skewered, demonized, and ridiculed the Tea Party movement yet they seem to be going out of the way to shed the best possible light on these kook fringe lunatics to portray them as "mainstream, disaffected Americans" who are tired of Wall Street greed.

    They want Big Government to step in, confiscate the wealth, and redistribute the "new revenue stream" to insure we all live as one big happy global family nursed by the nanny state.

    They're pissed because Barry promised to be their "hope & change" Messiah.

    The incredible thing is as much as they've turned on their Messiah in their "occupy Wall Street" idiocy, they'll flock to the polling places next November and pull the lever for BHO once again.

    They also seem to be, by the amount of coverage, making this appear to be a bigger movement than it is. I was flipping stations on the radio on the way to lunch and Dave Ramsey was talking about this subject. He gave the factoid that there were more people in the stadium for the Monday night football game than people participating in this protest nationwide. If this is indeed the case, the "movement" can be described in a single word - insignificant.
