New Security Screening "Procedures" At Airports.

But yeah, I'd fly that airline.

They don't have that option, no. At least not that I would know. If they would, it would be a loophole.

I would feel safer, though, with a trained, armed guard at the front of the plane than I do now. At one point I applied to be a TSA. These are trained professionals much the same way as a bagger is "trained" to bag groceries. Ever have your bread smashed, eggs broken, etc. by a bagger? Why, then, would someone feel more comfortable with the competence of the TSA?

No. But I think there were some democrats out there who got chapped lips from the bagging.

While I found that pretty funny I don't think this is just something supported by Democrats. Plenty of Republicans support anything that has the word "anti terrorism" on it.

Indeed. An isolated example, but part of a common trend, that both of the main parties want unnecessary control of people's rights.

    TSA Scanner …scam ?

When in question of something that does seem right …follow the money.
Rapisan System ..Only scanner manufacture to receive the potential $300 million dollars the government has set aside.
Who are the players: Michael Chertoff former Homeland Security, Tom Blank former Deputy Adm. of Transportation Security and the Lobby group Wexler and Walker deep contacts into the Homeland Security… Is this more about te money than about public safety?

I would have to say if dig deeper this scam will reach somewhere close into the administration.

Is American being scammed by the scanner…

    Isa,

Interestingly enough, I just turned on MSNBC to get a few chuckles; low and behold, there was some guy on there talking to KO, basically saying the same points as you. Are you a part-time anyalyst? :p

haha i am no expert on anal explosives, but is it possible to fit enough in your ass to take down a plane?

Believe it or not, sure. It honestly wouldn't take too much.
  • I Wear Pants
Especially if you took it out of your ass before detonating.

The "Shoe Bomber" had 10 oz of explosive material packed in his shoe. The explosive material was consistent with the military explosive C-4. Judging from what I have flushed down the toilet, I could imagine a loyal jihadist could stuff that amount up his ass. I am sure many women have been stuffed with about 10 oz. I could even imagine a similar amount spread in a baby's diaper. The question is being able to also smuggle onto the plane the means to detonate it.

As this article states it only takes a small explosion to bring down a plane at high altitude in a pressurized cabin.

the headline said that, the actual article didnt.

Explosive (C-4) very knowledgeable about take two element to ignite.
Heat and pressure.. That would require a blasting cap or light the C-4 with a match and jump in his seat or possibility of a fart.
Because the explosive would be within the body that would take some of the effectiveness out of the blast also because it is in a seat again effectiveness lost … but small amount of C-4 type explosive (4 oz) can make for a big hole. If his removed the C-4 and place it against the side of the plane that would be a huge hole……

    Remember: Heat and pressure

So if the person beside you is trying to light a fart …not good..

Are you saying small amounts of explosives, say 10 oz of C-4 would likely not bring down a plane? If this is the case that small amounts of explosives would be less than likely to bring down a plane, why on earth would you be for these invasive security pat downs.

10 oz of C-4 would bring down a plane in a heart beat. Hell 4 oz would put a hole in a plane a human could walk throw

because you can fit a lot more C-4 around parts of your body than actually in your body.

there have been bigger holes in planes before that didnt crash.

Just got through security at Charlotte airport, unfotunately no pat down.

And these scanners don't actually detect those. If they simply make a rounded charge against their stomach then these scanners likely won't show anything abnormal.
