Because he is the type of politician that has his stance no matter what the situation. Doesn't think, just says his stance.CenterBHSFan;543164 wrote:Pants, lol, why is Paul an insane person?
He is against, to my knowledge, any type of regulations on any industry. That is insane. -

Are you his psychiatrist? What makes him so insane? Is it the because he forces women to worship aqua buddha?I Wear Pants;543158 wrote:Rand Paul is pretty much an insane person. -

Wouldn't your first statement actually be a good thing? What you are saying is he is true to his beliefs and stays consistent in his position. He doesn't spin his answer to say what is "politically correct" or sell the public a line of horse manure. -

Definitely. Considering how sweet things are going now. -

I think your are being blown by the media winds. Just because someone wants to make changes to how industry is regulated does not make him insane. Define for us what ungodly changes Rand Paul wants to make to industry regulation. -

Kasich will not make things better....he will make them much worse -

Well, a majority of the state voted for him so that clearly proves you wrong. -
CenterBHSFanJust opened up a bottle of Frogs Leap zinfandel (shipped to me by some Ca. buddies), and I must say that pairs well with saying good riddance to bad rubbish!
Bet they had no idea of when and why it would be savored... -

From what I'm aware of he's against things like regulating, say lead paint, etc. That is pretty insane to me if you look at it from a cost/benefit point of view.majorspark;543192 wrote:I think your are being blown by the media winds. Really.... a "majority" voted for George W. Bush twice...and you see what happened with him -

I was poking at your "George Lopez must be the best comedian because..." argument. -

I didn't mean he stays true to his beliefs. I meant he doesn't think. If you're talking about a regulation his answer is no. No matter what. It could be a regulation that makes it illegal for people to sell razors embedded in apples and he'd oppose it saying that if there wasn't a market for it it wouldn't be sold. -

cbus4lifeGood day for the Republicans/Tea party, that is for sure.
I'm excited, to be completely honest. A lot of those elected don't necessarily jive with my own political views...but i think they're good for America, and i'm looking forward to seeing what they can do.
Most of the tea party folks that i genuinely like/respect were elected, and thank god Angle lost, though i wish Reid could have lost too.
The tea party did really well this time, and hopefully they've learned a lesson re: nominating worthless candidates like Angle and O'Donnell. I wanted Reid gone just like i wanted Pelosi to no longer be speaker...got one wish, but still stuck with Reid. -
I Wear PantsThat isn't to say that Rand isn't a smart guy or a good dude. It's just that I disagree with him in regards to some things. I agree with him in other areas.
Also, sorry for the many posts instead of putting them all in one but I'm pretty tired so I'm not thinking too well.
Overall I'm content with the way this election went. New people needed to be inserted. Will these Republicans some how revolutionize the way things are done? No. But hopefully this can work out in a Clinton/Republican Congress sort of way. I want both Obama and this now Republican house to succeed. I hope that the ones I didn't vote for prove me wrong and fix everything they said they'd fix. Obviously there are some areas where I disagree with what they support (if they support the death penalty for instance) but the main focus right now is the economy and I don't care what means they use to do it I just hope it works. -
IggyPride00Fox News has called Nevada for Dingey Harry.
That is 2 seats the Tea Party has cost the Republican party by nominating bat shit crazy nominees (Delaware & Nevada) when more establishment types would have won those races for sure. It is looking like those 2 seats may be the difference between Democrats retaining control and Mitch McConnell being majority leader with all the power that comes with it.
I am not a RINO lover, but better to be in the majority and deal with a RINO or 2 than be stuck in the minority where you don't control the agenda or committees.
