I'm blown away that you were able to find "accomplishments" on Teddy's own website...sheer madness right there. :rolleyes:Thread Bomber;517370 wrote:http://www.tedstrickland.com/content/pages/accomplishments/
theres three.....wasnt hard to find either.
I think that they all are stiffs, But the state house has been run by the Pubs fo 15 years and they are still in conrol of the house and the senate.
6th fastest growing economy in the nation? I don't suppose that's code for "6th least ass-sucking economy in the nation?"
No matter. With such an impressive list of accolades, I'm sure Teddy will coast to re-election. -

The Republican party has fucked this state up for years and they want to put them in charge of everything again. Guess what, the schools funding will not get fixed, our taxes will go up, and the jobs are still going to go where the cheap labor is or where the tax payers in other states will pony up the dollars to bribe them to move there. Kasich will be laughing all the way to the bank.
Strickland has had nearly 4 years to fix school funding. He needs 4 more years now to not get it done? Why should the voters reward 4 years of ineptitude with 4 more years of the same? Never mind...it's the same reason Americans send fools like Chuck Schumer, Charley Rangel, and Barney Frank back to Congress year after year after year after year. -

Really? You're taking things from Ted Strickland's website? Come on now lol.... -

You asked for 1... I gave you three. Provide a rebuttle or GTFO.
I want someone to name ONE positive thing that Strickland has done in his time in office that warrants him re-election.
You may not like the source, but I have a feeling that anything provided would not be satisfactory unless it came from the Heritage Foundation.theres three.....wasnt hard to find either. -

To be honest though, Ohio's school funding has been terrible/unconstitutional long before Strickland came in and no one could/would fix it.BGFalcons82;517527 wrote:Strickland has had nearly 4 years to fix school funding. Agreed. But didn't Strickland run on the platform that he would fix it? Seriously....why isn't it fixed? I know this issue has been around for umpteen years...why won't it get solved? -
I Wear PantsNo it's still a good criticism. He hasn't fixed it. It's just that I think there are more damning criticisms to be had of Strickland than that he didn't fix something that no one else has been able to either.

I honestly don't think anyone has a good solution. -

Then why not put one together and see what everyone thinks? Get it out in the open. Part of my problem with this whole "negotiation" phase is that it's all hush-hush. I supposed it's because nobody wants to be labeled as a tax-raiser or school-closer, but it's time for leadership. I think people will look favorably on those willing to take on a problem and lead others to a solution. So far...it's boneless jellyfish swirling in slime and no one with any cajones to fix it. -
Thread BomberThere have been 3 pube Governors since the SCOTSOO declared the way the State funded the public schools in unconstitutional 1997. That's nearly 9 years of Republican leadership that did not fix it to Strickland's 45 months.
This is really a moot issue as no one knows how to fix the problem as thr SCOTSOO has only ruled on what NOT is constitutional.
The state of Ohio has been Governed in both houses by the pubes for over 15 years. Only the last 4 have had a Dem Governor.
The state went to hell LONG before Strickland too office in 2007 -

Call Ted for his new campaign slogan...."Vote for me because I need 4 more years to prove I'm as worthless as the other party." Reading between the lines, are you thinking that Kasich will be just as inept on school funding as Strickland has been, just because he's a Republican? -
Thread BomberAnd you the same for Kasich?.........You still have not rebuked Teddy's "accomplishments".... Figured.

I think Kasich will be just as inept as Teddy on school funding because I haven't seen anything to convince me otherwise. Has nothing to do with an R or D next to his name.BGFalcons82;517747 wrote:Call Ted for his new campaign slogan...."Vote for me because I need 4 more years to prove I'm as worthless as the other party." And honestly I have no idea who I'm voting for as far as governor goes. Because on one hand, Strickland hasn't done a lot of the things he said he would and the state isn't in a great spot. But on the other hand I am levelheaded enough to realize that a lot of the problems he's had either were there when he started his term or would have been there no matter who was in office (doesn't give him a free pass for not fixing them but a little perspective never hurts).
I've yet to see anything from either side that makes me say "This is the guy I want to vote for/I think he'll be good in office". I hate voting on the premise of "I hate him the least". -

The "6th best economic growth" is for a single quarter. Where does Ohio rank in that regard over his entire tenure? (hint: it's double digits and the first one is a "4"). You are refuted and otherwise owned. GTFO. -

No, it doesn't. But it makes dude A, who hasn't done something, more likely to be gone. -

Good news...but Teddy still has to keep exposing Kasich's plans to drive this state into the Abyss
I stand by my prediction that Teddy wins by 1.5% -

Objects at rest tend to remain at rest. Teddy is toast. -
CenterBHSFanI got yet another automated telephone call today promoting Strickland. The only thing the message said was the fact that Strickland got the NRA's vote.
He's got nothing else to promote. -
WriterbuckeyeTed has done NOTHING in his ads but go to the tired old class warfare schtick -- because he has NOTHING to run on where his record is concerned.
While the margins may be smaller, so long as an incumbent is under the 50 percent threshold, he's usually in big trouble. -
sleeperWill be voting for Kasich, there's no doubt about it. I could never vote for a Democrat because if you're voting for a democrat you're probably an idiot.
Disclaimer: I do realize that some Republicans are also idiots, but there's a way higher probability of being an idiot if you vote Democrat, and you can take that to the bank. -
I Wear PantsSleeper, if you vote according to what party the person is you're an idiot.
