Westie101confirmed, Alexander is still in the tournament.

He got pinned then got after the referee after the match and actually threatened him. They had no choice, worst behavior I have seen at high school wrestling match in a long time. Hat's off to McDougle he would of won by 7 points even if he did not pin himBeagoodsport;1390302 wrote:What happened to Alexander Anthony at the Marysville sectional? -

Go_WrestleCrazy he was ejected from the tournament, not merely D/Qed.

He had already lost the match.. threatening a referee is no small thing.Go_Wrestle;1390404 wrote:Crazy he was ejected from the tournament, not merely D/Qed.
I would interested to know exsctly what was said. .. -
Go_WrestleCouldn't tell...if my lip reading skills were accurate the F bomb was repeatedly said, 2-3 coaches holding him back. I for a fact know he was going to be allowed back in for whatever reason and other coaches appealed it since he the ref did signal he was ejected. He was on the mat ready to wrestle semi for 3rd when coaches from another team appealed.

VinceDI am not sure what else you can do to get ejected from a tournament but the kid did it all... except wrestle. Threaten officials, coaches and throw a major toddler hissy fit after he pins himself. I was sitting a mere six feet from the scorers table and heard it all.
In my opinion that kid wanted out of the tournament in the worst way. A great deal of expectations that I am sure he would/could not meet. -

Can't tell the referee im gonna F!!!!!! up, than attack a coach, his TRUE personality shown through on this one. Anybody on previous post who said he was a good kid. NYC, no way. M5 GrapplerI know it's early and they will be corrected. But early bracket release on baumspage has scoring and a few placement errors. 182 has right score wrong champ 132 has right score wrong 3rd-4th

nykcShocked to hear that... well from my encounters with the kid he was polite, friendly and outgoing. Not sure what all transpired at marysville as I was at a different sectional. There are usually 3 sides to every story but either way... he messed up bad!
-
bump_and_runHate what happened with Alexander -- hate that he lost it, that is, not that his HS career was ended. He made his choice. The appropriate action was taken.
-
MPhillipsDon't know the kid, but it sounds like the cheese slipped off his cracker.
-
It is what it isDealing with adversity is a life skill USUALLY learned through wrestling...a shame that Alexander never got the memo...perpetuates a "bad image" that city kids get saddled with!

80babyI was there and Alexander did lose his head after he lost his match. With that being said I didn't like the waythe official(s) handled the whole thing. If your going to eject a kid from a tournament then that official needsto do it on the SPOT! At the table. You don't wait until after the kid andcoaches have walked off the mat and settled down. It wasn't until he reported to the mat towrestle his go to match and another coach challenges his conduct and questionsthe officials actions. After which there was deliberation and they come backand informed him and his coach that he was ejected from the tournament. That just made everyone involved (him for hisactions and the officials for what they didn't do at the end of the match) lookbad with their decision making.
Granted he made a bad decision when he freaked out aftergetting pinned and made the comments that he made at that point the official shouldhave made that call to eject him on the spot. After talking with his coach and finding out the details of what happen Ithink it could have been handled a lot better.

Dad4SportsJust trying to piece this together.....Alexander was in control and lost by defensive pin? McDougle was leading by 7 points at the time of the defensive pin?

I didn't see that posted? "Alexander was in control?" BUT was down 7?Dad4Sports;1390618 wrote:Just trying to piece this together.....Alexander was in control and lost by defensive pin? McDougle was leading by 7 points at the time of the defensive pin?
Maybe I'm reading it wrong? -

Appears that you were there along with baby. Did the action warrant the reaction?kneeaireesee3;1390619 wrote:Agreed. -

No McDougle was controling the match, was not a defensive pin, he would of won the match regardless of the pin IMO, although Alexander is always capable of hiting a big move Mcdougle was well ahead regardless od pinDad4Sports;1390618 wrote:Just trying to piece this together.....Alexander was in control and lost by defensive pin? Go_Wrestle80baby...couldn't agree more. Should have occurred right when the ref made the call...not sure how the call was made and then it was being ignored by everyone except the coaches that disputed it? Coaches had a right to dispute it, he was ejected and their kid shouldn't be wrestling him. Made no sense and was not handled appropriately.
