Red RumSectionals week is here and I, Red Rum (the Brian Brakeman of Cinnamon Lake) will take a crack at predicting the future. If my predictions don't happen, cut me some slack, Cinnamon Lake is a small place and I am its only wrestling fan....and the Brakeman reference may be a bit of an overstatement.
So let's not pussy foot around, Here goes-

other advancers: Johnston (TUS), Ullman (LOUD), Tschiegg (ORR)
possible upset potential: Jt Heldenbrand (HILL), Young (NWN), Jones (MAP)

I think I saw a link to send comments to tourney director and baums page anyone try that?UncleGrizzly;1085947 wrote:Northwestern Sectional Results by Round February 18 & 19, 2011 Will be posted when available!
It is kinda pitiful that they never bothered to post up the results and makes you figure that NOTHING
will get posted for this year. COME ON FOLKS it takes a click or two of the mouse to get the info out
of your little computers and up onto baums page, seems as if every other sectional site figured it out...... -
BearBoy69lovin it Red Rum!
other note: Manchester needed to move, they were extremely outta place at NWN -
1_beastyou could hear a mouse fart on this forum.....
Red Dum started predictions....but must of only got half the paper....(thanks bloody)
Where is the talk?
Who's where? -
Red Rumsorry folks, missed a day-

other advancers: White (ORR), Reed (NOR), Be Fortune (NWN)
possible upset potential: Spach (CHIP), N Marthey (TUS), Maund (BR), Artrip (LOUD)
*note: IMO, this class had the most wrestlers either bumpin' or cuttin' to avoid Beam. A bunch of people that were listed most of the season in mat marks at this class have migrated like gazelles. I wonder if any will return?

possible upset potential: Miller (DAL), Wisenbarger (LOUD), Workman (NWN) -
Red RumPredictions complete-
The stats on the WCAL tournament I had were sketchy at best, so I probably made some glaring mistakes and oversights.
Opinions?
Fire away!!!!!!! -

Thought you could have did better, your writing skills have been diminishing since your last hospital stay, hopefully with a little more practice you will be up to full strength by football season. -

I actually want to commend RED RUM on his writing ability. I know his HS English teacher was Mr. Close Pursuit, and I believe he is overcoming that handicap very well.Mr Miyagi;1087550 wrote:Thought you could have did better, your writing skills have been diminishing since your last hospital stay, hopefully with a little more practice you will be up to full strength by football season. -

Red RumWhoa, the most competitive sectional in quite awhile and the only interest seems to be in talking about 1980s area cover bands clad in pink. I'd rather hear opinions about who is going to take the 195 crown but I guess Close Pursuit will have to do.
I enjoyed RN as a teacher and baseball coach, but as a rock n roll rebel.....well, not so much.
Huey Lewis was never my thing.
My preferences leaned toward Street Foxx, an excellent cover band that existed for 20+ years playing tunes like "Crazy Train" & "Free for All".
It's hard not to love a frontman that plays the guitar licks on "Highway to Hell" then busts out a flute for a rendition of "Aqualung".
I wonder whatever happened to the pink equipment trailer that was a fixture behind the house on highland for many years.
still kind of bums me out that nobody has anything to say about wrestling. -
Red RumMan, all the other sectional threads are f#^%** chatterboxes!
and we say nothing, I give up. I'm out. -
Aaron DorksenSome interesting last-minute maneuvering at D-III Northwestern Sectional seeding meeting. Brakeman No. 1-ranked 170 Zeb Beam of Waynedale dropping to 160, Bears Brenden Stanley had been at 160 will drop to 152 (where he's ranked 4th) and Northwestern's No. 8 Brett Fortune dropping to 145. Genoa's Felipe Martinez will officially be at 170 for his sectional, so Beam giving up a possible historic chance to be first Ohioan to beat an opponent going for fourth title. Martinez edged Beam 3-2 in state semis last year, but Beam 43-1 has been on a mission ever since and Martinez's conditioning has been questioned. Beam would have had chance to be one of state's most famous wrestlers ever. It's the safer choice, though, better for Bears' team chances and Beam had been a light 170. I wouldn't second guess that type of decision either way. Best of luck to all area grapplers as sectionals get under way.

THE4RINGZJust to keep the chatter going, is it beneficial for Beam to drop ten pounds in a weeks time? What about his strength level, and his lack of familiarity with the 160 wrestlers? Advantage or disadvantage?
BTW.... Best '80's local cover band....Broke. Deal with it. They had the vocal changer thing when they played Walk this Way. Epic.
