Northwestern DIII Sectional
-
Red RumWow!!! Gone 7 days and pretty much nothing happened on this thread. Congrats to the Huskies on the Sectional championship. Thanks to Miyagi for saving me a paper or I wouldn't know anything about the sectional, Whats with the internet news blackout?
I hate agreeing with Bloody Turdface, but he's spot on about Wrestle 2010---it's a pretty punk move to start ragging on a freshman about losing to a highly experienced multiple state qualifier.
Is anyone gonna start a district thread? I don't know enough about the rest of the NE Ohio grapplers to start one.
Oh yeah, and I think F.Scott Fitzgerald was Edmund Fitzgeralds cousin--apparently they both died when Eds ship sunk. -
Wrestle2010Im sure we all would love to know what Harter told Stanley!!!
-
Wooster All-SportHarter told him buy low and sell high ... dont wee into the wind ... or take any wooden nickels.. that's what my sources told me Seriously though bad form to rag on the freshman Stanley. Going ot distirct as a freshman runnerup is solid! I think someones just trying to trip someones trigger.

Fitzgerald was named after his famous second cousin, three times removed, Francis Scott Key....

Red RumI ain't buying it Beast, I'm really liking my whole F.Scott/Edmund/sank in Lake Superior thing. I think Francis Scott Keys second cousin 3 times removed was actually Gordon Lightfoot, who tried to out do his distant relatives famous song with a few of his own--"wreck of the edmund fitzgerald" & "Sundown"
Good luck to Da Bears this weekend (when they're not wrestling Huskies).
Should be interesting, I think Harter, B. Stanley & Beam make it out for WD, B.Hall & maybe Srock for Chippewa, Hershey, Schaefer, Topp & with some luck, Fortune for NWN, Grier for Nor. All other WCAL guys are longshots IMO, but I may be forgetting someone.
So it looks like my number range is 8-10 for WCAL qualifiers. Hope I'm low and the county gets 10-12 out. -
THE4RINGZGood luck to all Wayne County wrestlers this upcoming weekend.

on this prediction/suggestion...would grier and Moore have advanced? It has bothered me all day...both are great kids and i hated seeing them fall short of their dreams1_beast;646390 wrote:Just a thought from The Beast: I can only weigh in on a few things because my knowledge is limited, i know little, what i do know i keep under my hat and aside from that, i get accused of "sandbaggin"...lol
125 Again, this time the question is Grier? He wins this weight at sectionals, but good luck at districts. 125 at Garfield heights is solid, anyone with the weight has a better shot at 130 with Jacober and Walden possibly bumping to 135,(Grier would be top 2 @130 at Garfield Heights), this leaves 130 more open for state representation from Northwestern Sectional.
130 Fortune and Moore battle here with Wardell figuring in considerably. If Grier comes here(bumping Moore to 135) its still a dogfight. This sectional has a potential 3 kids making it out of Garfield Heights district, (again, factoring in Walden and Jacober moving to 135), dont forget Powell. This is a possibility if Steiber goes 140 and Clark comes to 135)

mt1514State brackets are up on Baums page. How in the world did Hall and Philips end up in the same side of the bracket? Both undefeated, l realize it has to do with placement last year and all that, but just seems wrong.
