Contenders:
Zach Durbin (MAP) 24-0.
A. Tschiegg (ORR) 12-4.
Mike Hozan (BR) 20-3
Z. Kuhlins (TUS) 8-7.
J. Young (NWN)
A. Holzheimer (NOR)

The first 4 are my early predictions on advancement (no particular order), the next 3 have a shot. Did I miss anyone? let me know? -
Red Rum112
Contenders:
T. Harter (WAY) 20-0 looks like the cream of the crop
My prediction on the other placers (no particular order)
B.Britton (NOR) 14-6
S. White (BR) 17-7
D. Gregan (NWN) 11-8
I'm not seeing alot of other challengers here, but I may have missed a few. -
Red Rum119
Contenders:
Zach Nelson (WAY) 30-1 wins this class IMO
Dion Perez (TUS) 20-8 moves on as well
I think the last 2 spots are up for grabs between-
D. White (BR)
T. Berry (NWN)
T. Morris (SMV)
G. Genet (CHI) -
Red Rum125
Contenders:
This class is a little obscure, if Grier (NOR) is healthy-he'll win it.
D.Stanley (WD) & J.Hamm (TRI) are the other names that come to mind as placers. -
Red Rum130
Contenders:
I like B.Fortune (NWN) 16-4 & K.Moore (NOR) 20-5 as heavy favorites to advance.
The competition for the other 2 spots is crowded-
B.Wardell (WAY)
Z.Wade (TRI)
J.Powell (TUS)
C. Black (MAP)
D.Everett (DAL) -
Red Rum135
Contenders:
Zane Nelson (WAY) 30-2 takes this class
T. Vogelhuber (DAL) 15-2 should also advance
Others with a shot-
B.Naymik (MAP)
D. Marthey (TUS)
L. Studer (NOR)
N. Dupont (NWN)
J. Lucas (BR)
G. Bromley (CHI)
A. Heldenbrand (HILL)
This should be a fun class to watch, alot of decent wrestlers battling for advancement. -
Red Rum140
Contenders:
Another class that I'm not sure who will be there when the dust settles, so...
I'll go with Logan Heshey (NWN) 15-5 to advance, and win
Jarrod Pierce (BR) and Lukas Johnson (DAL) also boast winning records and could earn a district trip here. Many opportunities for hungry wrestlers at 140. -
Red RumPredictions done on the first 7 weight classes. I'll finish the other half tomorrow.
Any thoughts on the 103-140 classes? -
Dad4SportsFrom an outsider looking in, I'd say there is a good chance somebody at 130 drops to 125 to make it out
-
Red RumYeah, I may have jumped the gun starting this thread. Still the possibility of movement in many classes.

1_beastJust a thought from The Beast: I can only weigh in on a few things because my knowledge is limited, i know little, what i do know i keep under my hat and aside from that, i get accused of "sandbaggin"...lol
A Sectional BW-3's meeting should actually take place, however im still unclear on how rthrhjkthknwyihg guy got "stiffed" on a t-shirt, lol tell us the story
on RedRums suggestions:
103 looks like a solid prediction,I think you gotta put Hozen in front of Tschiegg, J Young is tough but light, may surprise some folks
112 I see Shelby Hall left off the list, sitting at 12-7 after 2 wins last night, took Gregan to ot in jr high county finals(should of won the match), Gregan held on for 2 periods and the Ref let him.
119 Biggest question here is if Perez stays at 119 or jumps back to 125, How could you forget Burge? another scrapper is Berry...is he staying 119 or going 125? Both weights are brutal at Districts
125 Again, this time the question is Grier? He wins this weight at sectionals, but good luck at districts. 125 at Garfield heights is solid, anyone with the weight has a better shot at 130 with Jacober and Walden possibly bumping to 135,(Grier would be top 2 @130 at Garfield Heights), this leaves 130 more open for state representation from Northwestern Sectional.
130 Fortune and Moore battle here with Wardell figuring in considerably. If Grier comes here(bumping Moore to 135) its still a dogfight. This sectional has a potential 3 kids making it out of Garfield Heights district, (again, factoring in Walden and Jacober moving to 135), dont forget Powell. This is a possibility if Steiber goes 140 and Clark comes to 135)
135 Nelson is the favorite, with Vogelhuber out(rumored broken hand? arm? will he be back in wrestling shape?) If Vogelhuber is healthy hes top of the crop with Moore(providing grier bumps) also advancing, the last spot is a dog fight between several good kids, Lucas(BR), Byler (Tri), Marthey (Tus) and factor in the always tough Studer(Nor)(If Moore dont bump) This weight also has potential for 3 qualifiers out of Garfield Heights in the right kids are at the right weights. Another note is the always tough Powers(CVCA) rumored to be injured, opening up this class at Garfield Heights a little.
140 Hersheys to lose at Sectionals, If the aforementioned Norwayne kids Bump...Studer get out here as high as 2nd, with Johnson(Dal) being solid, here is where i question Daltons schedule, this is wide open for a McCluggage (Waynedale) to sneak through. Dupont also could come through here and wouldnt surprise me a bit -

while i respect your opinion, it depends on the wrestlers goals. If he simply want to be a district qualifier, 125 would be the lighter weight class competition wise to move on. However, if the wrestler is looking to advance to the state tournament...125 is very solid, and 130 may weaken if Jacober and Walden bump...i guess it all depends on Stieber...lol...then Jacober and Walden.
With Wiseman, and Spangler both returning placers?? , Decatur (returning Dist placer) and Harris(Jr high State Champ)....125 is no cake walk. Then again, Maple Height, Garfield Heights is the most brutal D-III District in the State! -

You're right....I was just thinking about a kid who might have aspirations to be a district qualifier. -

I'll admit that I'm not that up on my D3 stuff......looks pretty good though -
falcon81Zack Nelson and Dion Perez 1st cousins wrestling in the finals , thats a interesting situation. Don't totally rule out Zane nelson at 130. Just a thought.
-
Red RumTGIF Boys!!!
A big thanks out to Beast, Dad4 & Falcon their input, I need all possible help & analysis. I totally wiffed on lil burge from Norwayne and Zane Nelson at 130 really changes things. Thanks again, and give opinions and analysis on the second 7 weights. -
Red Rum145
Contenders:
45 is another interesting weight class where some movement may occur, If they all stay I like B.Stanley (WD), S.Heldenbrand (HILL) and Ty. Topp (NWN) to advance. Bramley (CHI) is the other probable advancer in my mind.
Things could easily change though if there's a great migration. -
Red Rum152
Contenders:
Zeb Beam (WAY) 31-0 will win this class
After Beam, I think Finley (HILL) & Blair (TUS) also advance.
The last spot could go to any of the following-
McCaskey (LOUD)
Black (NWN)
Rohrbaugh (NOR)
Spach (CHI)
Terry (BR) -
falcon81Zane likely stays at 135 but He is not ruling out 130 for a state run..A guy named Stieber? I think your break down is very very solid Red Rum, I see little to disagree about. The info I got on Burge last week if accurate might have him out? Can anyone confirm?
-
Red Rum160
Contenders:
This class is a complete enigma. If no bumping up or down occurs, this class could be wide open as I don't see a hugely dominant wrestler.
Matson Lance (CHI) would have to rank as a very slight favorite. Elliott (TUS), Orr (WD), Meek (NWN), Reed (NOR) also can't be ruled out here. Grapplers with a slightly longer shot include Hange (DAL), Cline (SMV) & Maund (BR) -
Red RumFalcon-
That bunch from Monroeville is something else! The Stiebers, Tessari, Phillips & the one who moved away when they were younger, Tony Jameson? maybe. Anyway, its rare to see that much talent at a small D3 school like Monroeville.
I recall reading everyones take on Utley/Phillips state champ match last year. Although Utley is extremely talented and the score wasn't a blowout, I never felt Phillips was even remotely in danger of losing. Man, that kid is a beast. That whole Monroeville (now 3) really have an effect on weight class migrations. -
Red Rum171
Contenders:
I feel the championship will be Bryson Hall (CHI) vs Dylan Bender (LOU). Hall more than likely takes 1st.
The other 2 spots: possibly T.White (ORR) and maybe Hilty (SMV).
Others with a chance to advance: Burkholder (HILL), Ernsberger (MAP), Lehman (DAL), Murray (NOR). Probably missing some people here, after the first 2, anything could happen.
