How about I say he was a lot skinnier?

I like Thome and all, but I would be shocked if he was clean. Although I'd be pretty surprised if almost any of the power hitters were in that era.

I don't know. He just seemed like he was country boy strong. I'd say he was clean

Quite frankly, I'd be more shocked if he wasn't.
I very very skeptical but even when he was young and much smaller he always had those farm boy big forearms.
I tend to think Thome was clean
I think that Vizquel was at least as good of a fielder as Smith, with the eye test

I agree. Bodies mature over time but from the time he came up to the time he retired, there was a pretty significant change. He wasn't Bonds-like but it was pretty noticeable.
Apparently they made an offer for Cain. Does this make Domingo Santana expendable, is Salazar for DSantana close to an even trade? He is arb eligible until 2021.
Brewers with a plethora of outfielders, and the Tribe would like to to add a RH bat in the OF. Brewers need second base help. I could see a deal for Kipnis with the Tribe picking up part of Kip's salary.
Saw some rumors of Salazar for Santiago too.
This is interesting.
Ozzie Smith:

Very interesting comparables, there.
I witnessed 3 of those errors in one game in 1994 vs. the Royals in a 12-9 loss. (Vizquel's first year with the Tribe)
The counting stats are tough as Smith played most of his years in the 80’s and Vizquel played many of his years during an offensive boom. OPS+ favors Ozzie.
Havent checked defensive stats but guessing Ozzie with more range. Both wizards defensively.
It's being reported by the NYT that due to pressure from MLB the Indians will stop using the Chief Wahoo logo by the begining of the 2019 season.
That sucks IMO

Good.
I would rather have the Block C as the logo as it was the original one for the team.
Plus, chief wahoo is racist as fuck.
This year could be one of the largest year of team apparel sales in club history.

Times article says the team can still sell the logo in the team shop. So, that is not going away. It is also still Trademarked.

I've not liked the logo or name for a long time, I've tried to call them Tribe as much as possible, not even sure if that is less racist.
Yes...at team shop in stadium and retail shops in Northern Ohio.
Here's a pre-Wahoo pic.

This. Period.
Ridiculous.
I hate the block C, hopefully they come up with something else. Rumor is they were going to have to take it off of the uniforms eventually, but to have the ASG in 2019 it needed to happen then.

What's even more glaring, and gives me a reason to believe Omar can get it, is the fact that Alan Trammell is in. Talk about "average."
