What a game.  What.  A.  Game.   The end of an era for TB12?

On a side note....if you are Wentz, how do you really feel?  You are a huge part but get hurt late.   You win and are happy...but not being a part of the the stretch run and Sb.....has to really suck

Eagles mimicked the Patriots pretty much. Damn they played good.

Great, great game.  Twice in the last 3 minutes Brady had the ball and was down 5 and 8 points.  Both times they did not score.

Excellent game. Back and forth all night long. Only one punt in the game.

Tough to top this one,  maybe if lead changed hands often but if every SB is like this..........no complaints even if Philly won!

I just facebooked in how great this game was and telling people to get over with the NFL doing everything to help NE win it all.

Overall a great game. The sad thing is that Eli Manning upstaged Tom Brady and never set foot on the field

I thought it was more compelling that the Pats didn't get the lead but were never behind more than 2 scores.  When the underdog gives up a lead it makes it seem less compelling.

But they did get the lead late......

I don’t know the rule on sets but looks to be illegal.

Regardless Eagles earned it....great play call and set up fooled everyone including the refs

there has to be seven people on the line of scrimmage. the receiver at the top should've stepped forward to the line. it's not really a competitive advantage, but rules are rules.

Good catch.  Illegal formation and 5 yard penalty shoild have been called and likely a FG attempt.

Need at least 7 on the LOS.   Technically as they were lined up the RT would be eligible receiver being the last guy on the LOS, but would need to notify the ref and then he woild audible it for everyone to hear.

Did you catch that or hear someone else being it up?

Immediately thought "hope Laley didn't just lose his job!"

 lol

Appreciate it! But not anything onsite, or with my company. NBC Master Control had the commercial playback machine crap out...at a very inopportune time.

i've seen that penalty called a lot in college football so it stuck out when they lined up. i saw that pic on twitter shortly afterward.

there were a bunch of replies from people saying the formation was legal because the receiver at the top checked with the official pre-snap. i don't know what the exact rules are in NFL, but the outcome of that "check" is irrelevant -- the receiver is clearly not on the LOS. if the ref OK'd his alignment, he was mistaken.

This is a huge monkey in the room. Have to think he would've done a better job covering Jeffrey on that bomb he caught for a TD. When asked about it in the postgame presser, Matt Patricia just gave a non-answer. There has to be much more than this. The guy played 17 out of 18 regular season games and is a pretty good corner. Patricia throws out the "we wanted to put the best personnel out on the field according to matchups" bs? Butler not playing may have been the difference in the game.

Hats off to Doug Pederson. Looked like he outcoached the Hoodie and was super aggressive.

So much for the "defense wins championships" bullshit.

Good point....even with the huge offensive numbers I was very impressed many many times the defenses just blew up the play or defended it perfectly. Great offenses and playcalling ....what maybe but NE the most was their first two drives after flying down the field in a hurry up and mostly passing....they get down deep and run on 2nd and 3rd down in a short distance conversion attempt....other than those two drives the great playcalling makes it very tough on top defenses to get stops. Those teams were both top 5 I believe in defense.

Great game and I'm happy with the outcome. Loved seeing Brady get crunched and fumble to pretty much seal it.

Also, my gf hit the final of the SB board at the party we attended. She's foreign, clueless about the NFL, gambling, etc. I had to convince her to throw in $10 for two squares and she walks out with $250 cash.
