Question #87

Only three teams since 1970 have featured three pitchers on the team at the same time (for any length of time) who were all future Hall of Famers.

Name those clubs.

(HINT: Two of the clubs involved the same player.)

That's one, yep.  They actually did it two separate times.  Glavine, Smoltz, and Sutter in '88.  Glavine, Smoltz, and Maddux from '93 to '02.

Right club.  Gossage wasn't there with Smith.

Maddux, Smith, and Eckersley were there at the same time, though, in '86.

Question #88

This HOFer led the league in saves, the next season he started and lost 17 games and next year he was a closer again and had a 1.62 ERA

Boom. His numbers as a reliever in the late 70’s and early 80’s are crazy

The year in between he started....had 15 complete games

I thought I'd remembered seeing his numbers and noticing the 17 losses.  Had no idea it was as a starter.  Yikes.
