He had 27 wins in 1990....but he is still the answer at 137
Good job
Question #178:
Nolan Ryan has the most career no-hitters, one-hitters, two-hitters, and three-hitters in MLB history. And yet, he's only #2 all-time in career complete games when giving up 4 hits or less.
Who would you guess is #1?
Maddux?
Feller
posted by Laley23Maddux?
Greg spent a lot of his career as a bad-ball creator, so he's a pretty good guess, but nope. He actually only had 32 games with 9 IP and fewer than 4 hits.
Ryan had 97.
The top dog had 104.
Clemens and RJ seem too easy
Walter Johnson
Tom Seaver
Lefty Grove

I agree with this guess.

Clemens had 42.
The Big Unit had 39.
Tom Seaver is tied for 3rd with 76 (with Gaylord).
Lefty had 37.
And correctly, Walter Johnson had 104. Despite only one no-hitter to his credit, he's third in 1-hitters with seven (behind Ryan and Feller with 13 and 11), second in 2-hitters with 16 (behind Ryan's 18), tied for third in 3-hitters with 24 (behind Ryan and Seaver with 30 and 28), and far-and-away first in 4-hitters with 56 (Nolan Ryan only had 29 and is 11th on the list).

I have his no-hitter commemorative card. Also mentions his 1 and 2 hitters. I should’ve gotten that.

I can't blame you, since it's his crazy number of four-hitters that puts him over the top (I already left the page, but it was like 15 higher than the next highest one (Gaylord Perry).
