Got beat by Vikings to go to the Super Bowl in the next game.
The First half of that game (Original CBS Broadcast) is on youtube. It's very good. Have no idea where the Second half is.
Oh, and as a kid THAT was the first professional football game that I'd paid attention to. For some very weird reason I remember that when it was over me and friends went to an empty lot across the street and played some tackle football.
Go Browns!

“Spelling counts” on the lineman is kind of a clue. And so is “lineman”.
Joe delamilure (I'm sure that I spelled it wrong).

Yes you have it right. I don’t think I could spell his last name correctly, either, without looking.
DeLamielleure........whew!

I have his autograph from when I was a kid.

I’ll bet you were thrilled. I know I sure was when I got an autograph.
Here are two questions for today:
- What vain fictional third baseman was played by Corbin Bernsen in 1989’s Major League?
- (for the old guys) Who hit the series-clinching shot in game seven of the 1976 “Miracle of Richfield” playoff series between the Cavs and Bullets?
Roger Dorn
Dick Snyder
Boom! cat_lover
Pretty sure Dick Snyder was from North Canton Hoover. I remember that ending well. (Joe Tait)
What two Browns starting QB’s have defeated the Steelers with Ben at QB?
Derrick Anderson?
Brian Hoyer?

He is one

That would’ve been my guess but he is incorrect....thought he had like a 460 yard passing day either against them and lost or the game before or after.

I was a decent bit off but in 2007 he lost to Steelers the first game and the next week threw 5 TD and 320 yards on Bengals
Next meeting he had 365 yards passing the game before and was looking good.
I remember DA as a QB that could make the long throws and tough throws but had trouble on the easy short throws you just can’t miss.
My next guess is Weeden.
Didn’t Colt McCoy get a win?
Jeff Garcia?
I’m also going to throw into the pile Brady Quinn.

Oh this has to be it. 2009, like a 14-10 game or some shit. It was awful, but I remember it vividly. That game and the NYG MNF game he won stick out because this was a TNF game. Both prime time...Lots of beers and slices of pizza consumed.
Passing the ball on 1st down for an incomplete pass the getting no yards on 2nd = Steelers comback

Yep
I just realized I misspelled “Derek”.
Two questions for today (both from the 1997 World Series):
- What Marlins starting pitcher did the Indians beat twice during the series?
- What two Marlins homered back to back in the 4th inning of Game One?
Kevin Brown.
Charles Johnson and I want to say Moises Alou.
Very nice job, Laley23! You’re correct on all three names.
