It completely ignores how the odds change in different scenarios. An alternative description of the same scenario is that calls LOSES you the game 20% of the time. That's what makes it dumb.
I don't think that decision improved their chances to win the game. Even if it did, it's a one shot deal - you don't get the benefit of realizing those odds over 100 shots.

I hope the 49ers and Steelers aren’t considered equals….that’s a factor and if 49ers are going against the Commanders and the Steelers are going against the Ravens. And to go farther if Steelers are at Ravens and 49ers are at home….oh and 49ers are playing in 70 degree weather with no wind and Steelers are in a blowing rain with 20 mph winds

I think that Bills 2nd and 5 was going to be a flea flicker, but the blitzer got the RB before he could flick it back gto the QB.
