Sam Holbrook assed up big time. Bad throw goes into Turner and first base glove got knocked off.
That wasn’t right down the line either.
Wrong foot on the bag by Gurriel from that throw...no ability to stretch towards the ball
The call was right.
No doubt.

Yes, running on the wrong side of the line the whole way.

They almost never call it though. Then Rendon makes it not so painful for the Nats!

I’m surprised it took so long on the replay. It was shown like 10 times.
At first, I was thinking why Gomes didn’t get to be at 2nd. Then I remembered.......it’s interference...dead ball.
But then, right, the 2 run dinger made the Nationals feel better!
Strasburg with 97 pitches and no runs since the first, his last game of the season, leave him in to start the 8th? I say yes, let him go as far as he can, the most effective they have and the longer he goes, the more he saves Hudson, Doolittle, and Corbin for game 7.

The fact that on interferrence the runner who was on first has to go back to first is the #1 reason that pitchers and catchers, like Smoltz says, are taught to hit the runner in the back, even if they could have gotten the out anyway. That is especially true on a squeeze play at home Rather than making a futile effort to get the winning run at home, just turn and drill the hitter in the back.
8th easy for Strasburg, send him out in the ninth with just 102 pitches.
You got to pitch Strasburg in the 9th.
In all the commotion, Rendon just sticks to his plan and stays focused. Great player!

Ahh yes. You bring up a point that takes me back in the day. The pleasure of drilling a fucker in a situation like that.
And the road team has won all 6 games of a series.
Bizarre
Great series
World series record for sure now, away team wins all six games.Don't forget Free Taco at Taco Bell on Wednesday.
Greinke has been incredible and Scherzer battling
Greinke is PITCHING a clinic tonight....if nothing changes and he is removed, it’s the wrong decision
Rendon and Soto are just incred
Greinke threw 1 bad pitch all night (HR) then got squeezed on an ump error...should’ve been 3-2 but instead walked Soto. Hinch erased everything he had done and removed him.

It appears as though something has changed.
Nats up 3-2
Coco Laboy just tweeted that the watch party at Jarry Park in Montreal is going apeshit.

Threw 1 bad pitch. Hinch said he’d let him work out of his first jam but then didn’t let him. Greinke wasn’t giving up anything else.

Stros will regain the lead this inning or next

Ball 4 call on what should have been strike 2 was critical!
