Your most prized possession

Your house is on fire but you're able to run in and save one thing. All people and pets are safe. What do you grab?

Mine is a crayon drawing my grandpa drew back in the late 30s/early 40s that my aunt gave me as a graduation gift. I had it professionally framed and matted a few years later, but before that I had it replicated in tattoo form. It is easily the most important item I own, though it's worth nothing to anyone outside of my family.

A picture of my mom and grandfather.  Everything else of real value is in a safe or fireproof lock box.

My backup hard drive. Everything else in my apartment is replaceable.

Don't have to worry about it. My most prized possession is my weight room in my garage. If that catches on fire, it's screwed. There's a Smith Machine that probably weighs a good 1000+ lbs that isn't going anywhere.

Hard drives, pictures of the family, some of my Masonic stuff, and my sports card collection I have had for over 20 years so far.

Honestly, it's hard for me to think of one thing. I have some very expensive clothing items, I'd prob those.

For the ppl that said hard drive, why don't you store things online? Hard drives fail all the time.

I have two identical backup HDs made with Time Machine.

I've been considering cloud storage lately. I have around 750gb of music, most of it purchased or traded with friends. Also, lots of lossless files.

I wonder if there is a way I can use Time Machine to backup to the cloud?

This is a helluva question, Justin, and something I've never given serious consideration to...thanks for giving me the impetus to do so.

I don’t really had anything that I’m THAT attached to. Probably a couple boxes of pictures. But even most of those have been scanned and saved online.

All of our valuable items like jewelry coins, guns other things  like hard copy photos, our wedding album are all in a fireproof safe also.

A few years ago the wife had all my medals and certificates awards from Vietnam framed and mounted that's would be something.

I have about eight or nine architectural 24x36 cover sheets of professional stadiums that I worked on in my career another possibility

My wedding guestbook. It's full of Polaroids and well wishes from everyone in attendance. I don't have any other copies.

Ithaca Deerslayer 20 gauge single shot - Dad bought it in like 1965, literally the only thing he left me. I mean he left me tons of shit, but that was the only thing he specifically said, "I want j_crazy to have this."

Mine is not in the house, but I'd say our tractor.  Since it's covered by insurance, I'd have to think about that one.  I don't really "prize" many of my possessions.  All very disposable.

Diesel

Let me know if something goes wrong with it with the injectors, fuel systems, turbo or the fuel pump. You should be using an everyday additive also like Hot Shot / Hot Shot Extreme

Why's that?  Should I expect something to go wrong with it?  Or are you asking so you can drive across the state to fix it?

Anything can go wrong with diesel engines at anytime. I would not drive anywhere, I provide solution to fix your problem, it's up to you to provide the service to fix the issue.

Actually after reflecting on this more, I realized my most prized possession is my road bike. It's about a $5k+ bike and I would hate to lose it. If something were to happen to my bike I would replace it instantly.
