Well, as far as the land acreage goes, keep in mind that most of it is pasture from when it was a working farm. Which means laying down hay when it's 90° (which I did the other day), baling it and then putting it up in a hot stuffy barn. THAT part of it is definitely "meh" at best!

Cooking - generally grilling and smoking, and in the winter get into soups and marinara sauce/meatballs etc..

Salt water fishing - offshore, just can't do enough of it though.

Wineries - have been to most in NE Ohio, NW PA, and Western NY.  Looking to hit the Finger Lakes region and CA.

If you are ever in Cincinnati and they are open, I would recommend checking out Fulton Grove Winery. It's a cool little property, they make great wine (I've only had their reds, but they were all very good), and they are very nice people.

Some of my fondest memories are of bailing hay every summer growing up with my grandpa, but yeah, I wouldn't want to do it regularly these days. I'd be rounding baling for sure. My mom and her partner round bale a decent amount of acreage (they have 72 acres and his parents have 115 adjoining acres).

Sweet Walter's in the finger lakes is good from what I've heard.

I like to long distant shoot. Collecting toys from my youth transformers, gi joe, voltron, and a few others. In the last two years I have went from 398 to 221 at my last doctor visit so lifting and working out has become a big interest lately. I also like to work on electronics like tvs, old and new radios, and have recently been taking on some small appliance repair work.

You weighed 398 lbs and have lost 177 lbs

Damn, congrats

Holy crap.  177 pound weight loss is incredible.  What kind of workout plan do you use?  What did you change in your diet?

Listening to my three year old talk about princesses nonstop.

You have only 4-5 more years of this.  Good luck.

I love reading - especially history (WW2 in Europe is a favorite).  I love to exercise.  I like the physical benefits, but the driving force is the mental health benefits.  I quit drinking a couple of years ago and exercise is a huge part of my sobriety plan.  I used to follow sports a lot more (especially college football), but I've lost interest over the years for no particular reason.  I love to hike - day hikes only, I've not interest in camping.

Looking for another hobby, but the right one hasn't hit me.  Interesting reading back through this thread at the stuff you guys like doing.

Nice bump.  I went through the posts, must have missed this one.   I've managed to reacquire toys, books, and records  I used to have when I was 4 years old, but which broke or got thrown out over the years.  I even have a collection of 1962 Dick and Jane reading books that I remember using in grade school.

I guess you could call it a hobby, although it's very irregular in schedule.  Even found my old children's record player on eBay.  Next search will be for the GAF viewmaster projector I had in kindergarten, that used the box as a "movie screen".  I managed to hang on to a few reels I had from back then.

My wife just shakes her head when she sees me all giddy with the latest acquisition, but I tell her to be thankful I don't spend that money on alcohol and other women.

Baseball cards, as evidenced by that thread. I've spent a stupid amount of money on my collection since March. And golf.
